Wasn’t a “bad win” by any means, but man, opening the conf season with a loss to MSU would have not gone over well on this board

To be fair, LSU had zero tune up game week before. Miss state did.

That false start at the end was infuriating for us. Also, how do you throw a Hail Mary out of bounds to end the game.

Les Miles football at its finest. Take no risk (such as throwing a pass over the middle) and do JUST enough on offense to win.

It was 21-6 LSU with 4:00 to go in the 3rd!!

We beat Dak, so I was happy. We got revenge from 2014.

I listened to the game on my way to Hobby. We were catching a flight to Phoenix to see the Saints play the Cardinals the next day.

It’s funny that I look back on the Miles era and think that he usually beat the teams he was supposed to (Up until 2015) but never beat the team that was better. But, when you bring up games like this it reminds me just how many games that we should have blown teams out in that we were close in. I’ll never forget how heartbreaking 2016 Wisconsin was.

We used to complain that Les won ugly against inferior teams and never beat anyone that he shouldnt have. How do you win 9-10 games almost every year and not win some evenly matched ones? But who's really counting.

Now we complain about real losses to inferior teams.
Troy Miss St, Mizzou etc. 14 point favorites at home against Fla that cost us the Sugar Bowl. A&M? Shouldve cost us the Fiesta bowl but who's really counting.

Wheres Pelini & Canada. How much does this cost?

And Les was dealing with F KIng and Joe Bozo.

Thank goodness for Joe Burrow! I guess he makes it all a wash at this point. But who's really counting?

About on par for Harris.

I’m pretty sure Air Force throws more than 14 times in a game.

That was some God awful offense

I was in a Mexican resort that weekend.

They couldn’t get the game so I (fortunately) just let go and let Miles*.

I didn’t find out about the score until the next day.

*Which meant an “L” in this case.

That was probably one of his better completion percentages. But yeah, the passing offense was anemic

Yep, Burrow was the only reason we went 15-0.

Do you factor in games like 2014 Bama that we had no business taking to OT? Or is this the weekly shite on Miles thread?

That game sucked. State had a field goal to win it at the end from what I remember, but the kicker never had a chance to make it.

I watched that game from Fargo. Met Carson Wentz the following day with my FIL who was an All-American RB at NDSU. Good times
