2014 Ole Miss Game

One of my all-time favorite games to go back and watch.
13 play drive in the 4th qtr
95 yards
12 running plays, capped off by a Play Action TD toss to Logan Stokes.
Still gives me chills. The stadium absolutely erupted.
Ole Miss was ranked #3 in the Nation and they had the #1 ranked Defense coming in.
We just sacked up on that drive and ran it right down their fn throats. They knew it was gonna be a run every time and there was nothing they could do about it. So satisfying.
The 4th and 1 run too mid-drive behind an EPIC block by Connor Neighbors was awesome.
Our DEFENSE came up huge too in the last two Ole Miss Drives.
10-7 Upset Win in TIGER STADIUM.
Ya, 2019 was amazing. And we can look back at some of those brutal offensive years running a dinosaur offense and wonder what could have been. But that game right there had me on the edge of my seat the whole game. That DRIVE was the epitome of LSU football. Smash Mouth Big Boy Football. Still one of my all-time favorite LSU moments despite our lack luster offense. It's crazy to think how far our offense has come, but I wouldn't change some of those moments in the past for anything.

Logan Stokes’ only career reception IIRC. He made it count to say the least.

I was at that game and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a sporting event. The crowd was electric the whole night. Leonard & the defense played their asses off

We needed that win badly too after the Mississippi state and auburn boat racings

Great game.
Unpopular opinion? Anyone else think running on the field after beating number 3 Ole Miss was kinda a overreaction?
We’re LSU. I could see rushing the field vs Alabama, but Ole Miss??

Man, I was drunk and then the stadium was so loud, I was having to cover one eye so I could see straight. I went on the field afterwards too

This is probably my favorite (post 2011) Miles game

When you suck and beat a top 5 team you rush the field PERIOD

In a vacuum, absolutely youre correct. If you were at that game, rushing the field had less to do with Ole Miss and their ranking and more to do with the electric energy through the stadium and the way that amazing drive ended to cap off the game.
It was a spur of the moment kinda thing, but def warranted in an atmosphere that special...

Was the game Kenney Hilliard tossed the ole Miss LB like a cheap rag doll?

That was a nice win but the 2007 FLA win was much sweeter.

Isn’t that the game where the Ole Miss QB was trying to trash talk one of our players by holding up three fingers as in “We’re #3!”? Then he bolted off the field into the locker room before the game was even over like a little bitch.
What a joke.
What a joke.

You know that Miles has been spamming toss dive on NCAA 2014 since the quarantine began

Let this sink in...
LSU rushed the ball 55 times and completed 4 passes to the RBs.
LSU completed 3 passes to WRs.
LSU completed 1 pass to a TE.

Why should who the team is matter? They were still ranked number 3 And we’re undefeated at the time of the game.
At the time of that game it was absolutely fantastic to see the joy of the team and the students on the field. I remember walking out the stadium and watching them storm the field saying go ahead enjoy this moment. This program hasn’t felt anything like this in a while.

They’re Ole Miss. We’re LSU. I shouldn’t have to spell it out any more than that.
