Now count all the dropped balls this year to last year and get back to me with these stats. Mett's numbers would be stupid good if our freaking WRs held on to the ball before the Bama game.
There were plenty of drops last year as well.

Jefferson Rating - 138.7

This seems high to me.
Holding the ball for 5 seconds while open receivers wave their arms, then scrambling for a 3 yard gain does wonders for a QB's completion percentage and rating.

Show the WR stats. We don't have anyone similar to RR this year. IF you put him on the team it is a completely different story. NOt only did he catch 200+ more yards than any other receiver, and 2x the TDs but he also opened up everything underneath for a legitimate number 2 receiver. We don't have a number one so you can't have a number 2 that gets open coverage.
WINNAH!

I'd rather have a qb begin to peak late in the season, as opposed to falling apart.

he is almost caught up with them and he's only had 2 good games. JJ had 3 years to get it right. Still no vetical threat

Not even close to this year man.

20 to 10 in touchdowns - twice as many last year.

I was responding to the poster who said JJ stats got worse. comparing JJ/JL to mettenberger is dumb.

Is there a stat on this or are you just guessing?

Hanagriff talked about it on the post-game show after Ole Miss. He said the drops were at a 3:1 rate from last year up until the Bama game.

I looked and couldn't find anything. I think a lot of people's dislike of the QBs last year had a lot to do with an decrease of balls that were considered drops, and a hope for Mett this year led to many people considering badly thrown balls drops.

They usually don't chart drops as an official stat.

Yeah, it was badly thrown balls. Have you watched all the games this year?

This would mean Last year's team was a lot better than this years....???
numbers are just numbers. i would avoid drawing grand conclusions from them.
these stats speak more to the difference in offensive playcalling between this year and last than they do to individual skill, IMO.

Just gotta get the td passes up with Mett by focusing on red zone execution going into next year. If we get that we may have a very good offense.
I am happy with the year met had, and am excited to see how he develops next season.
His receivers dropped all kinds of balls, a team leader was dismissed, Off line injuries and one guy just quit. It took a toll but next years its his team and could be quite good.

People need to realize that Mett is still a developing player in a developing system. His performance lately in the season is night and day compared to early in the season. If you want to fairly compare him to JL and JJ you should wait till next season to do it.

Not a fair comparison.
Lee was great for the first 7 games of the season. He led the SEC is passing efficiency before Les benched him in favor of his chocolate love child. Our passing game didn't go to shite last year until Jefferson started.

Actually Lee kept his starting job until he went to bama and kept throwing it to the wrong team.

JJ has a higher taking than lee at the end of the regular season.
