Warriors would have won if they took it to the hole a couple of times the last two minutes and made a few FT's.
20 lead changes. 10 or 12 ties.

LSU was shut out. Lee did not get on the field.

This is an all around terrible comparison.

I think the Warriors were the victim of a rigged system! I dont think that's ever been more apparent in the history of sports. Whereas we screwed ourselves (Jefferson stayed at Harrah's all night, Miles refusing to play Lee, etc.) As much as it ducked we had to play Bama again, that was the best 1vs2 match up possible. Green's suspension in gm 5 and the calls in games 5&6 were solely for the nba to extend the series to 7 games and make more $!

why?

It's common knowledge that it's very hard to beat a good team twice in one season. The defeated team has an emotional advantage. I've seen this occur for decades.

And it's not like we were much better than Bama in 2011. The 9-6 game was basically a tie, so we were evenly matched.

I was scared shitless going into that game. But I definitely didn't expect to see what I saw.

I thought the exact opposite. Really didn't think we'd win. We exposed Alabama's only weakness on 9/6 and it wouldn't happen again. You don't beat a team of that caliber twice.

At least the Warriors started their best player at each position.

If you're referring to Lee, bama was in his head and from 9-6 and it wouldn't have been any better in the BCSNCG. I hate that they didn't even give him a shot, but not sure it would have been any better.

So Golden State had a terrible game plan also?

I think Golden State's head coach could have put a better game plan together in 2011

That woulda worked out swell with LSU OL performance. Lee was terrible in the first game when OL played decent.
Anyway that loss had very little to do with a QB that completed 65% of what Bama D gave him.

2011 didn't even have to win that game to get at least 1/2 of the national championship. If you substitute the 2012 24-20 game for the 21-0 game, we are AP national Champions.

If the warrior had been swept in the finals and blown in out every game, then yes.

The worst part of that, gif may be 60 pancake blocking the Bama player and JJ having clear room to run right, yet still lobbing a free int to Bama

I sure do hope we win the national title soon so people can stop with the 2011 threads. It'll be much like the Cecil Collin threads that popped up until fournette blew up this year. I hope we don't have to endure this for another 15 years.

The 2007 Patriots is a better comparison.

- undefeated regular season
- struggled for much of the championship game to get to the final game
- lost in the championship game to a team they already beat in the regular season
