Holy shite, you suck. You know Billy Cannon won the Heisman in '59 when we didn't win the title, right? So I guess that season didn't matter to anyone outside of LSU.

Man we had some talent. Unreal how pitiful the play calling was on offense.

I don't get why y'all are laughing at the fact that the SEC championship was won objectively, on the field, with no voters or computers involved, while the BCS, especially that year, was a joke.

This is correct! Everyone is so caught up about the BCS title that they honestly think nothing else matters. At LSU we play for SEC title first and the rest will take care of itself. If you cant win your own conference, do you really think your the best in the country anyway?

With that said, I just watched the replay. Holy Shite, what a defense we had...maybe the best ever college d to take the field.

My goal for LSU is to win the SEC title every year. That is what counts to me because that can be done objectively on the field.

I cannot say, however, that winning the SEC is greater than winning the BCS. But even playing for the BCS title takes votes of people in North Dakota and Maine and luck. Ironically, our two BCS titles came in years we needed lots of luck from voters to even get to the game. The time we needed no luck to get in that game, 2011, we were blindsided by an undeserving mulligan team.

Winning the SEC was great, and without that win at Alabama, LSU wouldn't have won it, but Alabama was objectively the #2 team in the country. They earned their spot in the BCSNG, and they beat LSU on the field. It's past time to get over that.

I'm watching it too. It feels like it has been an eternity since we last beat these assholes.

I was so hammered in Ttown I really only remember the game winning kick

No they weren't and now they didn't. They weren't the "objective" #2...that would have been OSU (objectively). They DIDN'T beat LSU on the field when it supposedly mattered so how did they earn that BCSNG spot?

Did you go to the game? I drank at the bar rented out for LSU fans; think it was called The Dixie? I just remember the place coming unglued when Alleman kicked the winning FG

Also, it's pretty incredible to think about how different Les' legacy would be had we just faced OSU in the title game and the badger not screw up. Les had his foot on Saban's throat and then 21-0 changed everything.

I am looking forward to order being restored, and January 2nd will be the beginning of our resurgence.

It's true. 21-0 hurts me more than my recent break up
