2010 MLBD Mock Draft

Here's an early look. Ranaudo dropped from #2 on this list to #11. Gibbs & Landry in the 2nd. BLAKE DEAN in the 4th?? Austin Ross in the 6th (if this is true.. he's gone).
1st commit taken is Zach Lee in the 3rd. 4th and 5th rounds would hit us hard as Cecchini and DeShields would both probably get enough money to run.
Discalimer... I know its an early mock draft. Entertainment purposes only!!!

I think that's an old mock draft.

That's pretty high for Austin Ross.
I think Ross and Bradshaw go in the 20's somewhere though.

Zach Lee is gone
Zack Oliver's commitment is likely

Not trying to bash, but Landry in the 2nd round? That seems pretty high to me. Anyone else?

A little high, with Landry it's what you see is what you get. He doesn't have a high ceiling.
A team that thinks he will be an easy sign could call him that high but more likely he goes toward the 7-10 round area.
He showed power last year, he's show better discipline and higher average this year. He had a strong Cape league with wood bat - you check all those off and someone will take a shot probably earlier than most would expect.

Kevin Gausman is #35 and Bedrosian is #80. These are LSU's two biggest pitching prospects.
Forgot Austin Southall #199.
LSU's recruiting class is really, really sick. But as is every year, most will not make it to campus.

Not unless more than 9 committments sign pro deals...

I can't really remember the last time "most" did not make it to campus.

Mr "I forgot my glove" - somewhere in the 5-8 round

If I were Renaudo and I was projected at #11, I wouldn't pitch again this season.

Landry goes in the top 6 rounds.

Anyone else notice that Ranaudo is the only one listed as P. All of the others are LHP or RHP. Can he pitch with both hands?

I don't see why......though I was pretty shocked Jared Mitchell was taken so high last year. But at least he had more power, and was probably better with guys on base.

Because when you can run down just about anything in CF and show consistency at the plate, you get drafted relatively high

honestly its because he's athletic, teams go nuts over anything that might be remotely close to a "5 tool player" Which many any fast black player that can hit worth a shite will go early.

Is Jacoby Jones at 23 not a commit?
