The issue is we have no idea what these judges deduct specifically

Part of me wants to move Durante off the lead off on bars because she seems to always be scored a bit lower when her routine is almost always flawless. So if we move her, who moves into the lead off?

I feel like we would be a VERY different team if Desiderio was healthy. Words can't describe how talented she is.

Desiderio Floor

Desiderio Beam

Desiderio should be in the 9.9's come SEC championship time, if she isn't, there is a major problem.

In a perfect world I wish Ruby could lead off and I would go Ruby, Myia, Edney, Durante, Priessman, Finnegan.

Also, I’ve been calling for it since they switched it but Myia needs to just go back to the full on vault. Her full was money every time and was scoring higher.

Do the coaches find out after the meet what the deductions were in each routine?

Not that it’s possible anymore, but Cannamela would be a perfect lead off on bars (pre shoulder injury)

I just watched Edwards vault.

how did that not score a 9.9? Form is excellent in the air, small step on the landing.

Myia has always been a bit inconsistent with her 1 1/2

Cannamela and Finnegan are pretty close to ready.

Ruby was suppose to be a major piece for us this year. I expected a lot of nice bar scores and 9.9's on vault. Its almost like now, we lost our three seniors, Kelley, and Ruby.

Ruby is frustrating for sure, but she has time to figure it out.

Agreed on vault for Edwards...vault scores tight in the first rotation for sure

I think she needs time mentally for a break and to regroup.

I would not compete her next week vs Kentucky.

I feel like Campbell is on the brink for a 9.9 beam score but one mistake keeps holding her back. Desiderio had a nice set then bobbles on the split leap.

DD's post meet interview, you could tell she was not happy at all.

I really think its time to let Dean see some opportunities, she has looked excellent in practice, on beam, floor and bars.

Either way, the staff has to find a way to make sure Desiderio is ready by March. She should score 9.9's on beam and floor with ease at this level

Yes! I loved her potential on bars from her freshman year. So sad about the shoulder injury.

Kirby could be an option to leadoff, but we haven't seen Dean or Campbell on bars either and they had nice sets in JO.

I just watched the highlights, and good for DD for calling out the score of Edney's floor routine. Also, now that I saw Christina's LOSO on beam, I have no idea how they got a 9.775. Again, especially in comparison to UCLA's beam scores.

I feel a great home meet coming this weekend! The girls will be hungry after tonight.

Ughhh.. I feel like this happens so much with her. Her vaults never score what they should. Maybe it's because they don't like that she squats to hold her stick?

When the score was posted Jay threw his hands up in the air and wave them at the judges in disgust.... It's the second time in two meets he's done that I'm pretty sure he feels like she's being overly harshly judge

I know Desiderio had a slight bobble but how did they reach that low of a score.

This shite all adds up, dumbass scores probably cost LSU around .200 of points. Thats a lot....

So instead of LSU at around 197.525, we are around 197.325

I honestly don't understand how Cannamela and Edwards and Finnegan saw the deductions that it did. Edney was absurd for sure. The rest of the scores I was fine with.

Scoring for Finnegan on vault has always been really strange. She always gets hit harder than everyone else. I thought this year things may change because her vault has more power and opens up more than it did a year ago. But nope, at least one judge hits her hard for something. It clearly isn't her form or landing so what are they taking? Amplitude? She's a small girl but she gets plenty of height. Distance? Could be better but she has sufficient distance. The only thing is, as someone else said, she tends to land with a deep knee bend to absorb the landing and stick. Maybe they see it as coming in short? Harrold does this too but usually she is actually landing short.

Desiderio has work to do and we absolutely need her to peak come post-season. I just wonder if she can get into the shape needed to hit the big tumbling skills she used to do with ease. Hopefully she can get consistent with a set that works for her this year, maybe next year she can add in more difficulty if she stays healthy. A new 9.9 routine on FX and a couple upgraded vaults would go a long way to making sure we are right in it.

I go back and forth on whether Hambrick should go back to the full. I think she probably just tries too hard to stick. I'd rather her keep working the vault because in post-season we need those 1.5's, it will be a big gamble but a bunch of fulls won't do it, even if they stick them (see Finnegan's scores).

Wish I would have known this last week

Took the family to FW last weekend and had a blast. The stock show and rodeo was going on. Downtown FW is great
