Question, what caused Desiderio fits in her beam routine tn?
I missed her LOSO, so I'm not sure there but she had a check on her leap series & probably got here for some 180 on the second leap & I think I may have saw a minor step on the dismount.

I am honestly dumbfounded how Ruby looked her entire freshman year and where she is now. In every aspect. Not even remotely close to the same person.
But it did scare me that the entire freshman class outside of Edwards came into LSU without competition experience in over a year due to injury. I suppose this was bound to happen. Campbell was out, Desiderio was out, Dean was out, Durante had some issues, Dean was out.

This is exactly why I asked is she burning out? She is older for a sophomore with years and years of pounding from 2 Olympics. Unfortunately for LSU, they really need good routines out of her.
LSU is in risk of being passed up by Utah as well in the rankings.

LOL! Calm down. This is week 3. LSU has tons of freshmen and is still figuring out the best lineups. We had an inexperienced team go up on podium with 4 up at the same times and hit a 197+ They still have time to tweak lineups and show they can be a high 197 team. If all they manage is a mid 197 then so be it. The potential is there and, as usual, LSU is one good recruiting class away from a National title.

Ruby looks mentally not confident in herself. She doesn't believe in herself right now. You cannot perform at this level with no confidence.
In 2016, we didn't really click until mid Februrary, we were in 196's than suddenly jumped up to 197.8's
I still think we all should be really optimistic. Campbell is on the brink to a fantastic routine. Desiderio just needs time. Edwards and DUrante have made major impacts. These scores will be better soon.
197.350 isn't bad considering we are still not in full health. Some upperclassmen were off. I think the freshman carried a lot of the load tn at times. Edney has not been fully training. We will be fine in another month

Honestly, it should have been higher. I still don't understand Kocian's beam score in comparison to some of our's that had mistakes.

I know they are girls and can’t take criticism but quit being such a powder puff.

Three months to go, the ceiling is very high for this team when they get back to full health and the freshmen develop consistency.
Ruby would benefit from a couple of weeks off from competition.
Not bad when tonight is your worst showing of this young season.
WE COMING! WE COMING! AND WE AINT BACKING DOWN!

Damn! Well UCLA was solid. I left early and didn’t watch our girls on the floor

Just got back to hotel...LSU definitely received no reputation bonus tenths...I can’t really complain about our actual scores, but I can complain about some of the UCLA scores...they deserved to win imo, but not by that much of a margin. In particular they got the benefit of rising scores on vault, while we got nothing of the kind on floor.
I’m disappointed but not discouraged. We haven’t come close to maxing out the potential of our team score wise.

Bunnie, you were there in person so can you please tell me if you feel Sarah Edwards and Kennedi were underscored on floor? Also, if Myia was wearing the UCLA leo she goes 10 no doubt, correct? I feel like it’s been a while since I felt LSU weren’t getting the scores because of the wrong leo, but I did feel that way tonight in comparison to UCLA.
Posted on 1/27/18 at 9:56 pm to GeaauuxxFan
I definitely expected 9.9s for Edwards and Edney...and no doubt Myia deserved a 10. I feel like we opened the door with some of the errors on other routines and the judges pounced, so that’s on us. Next time don’t give the judges the opportunity to deduct.

I was there, Sarah score was probably pretty accurate.... I think Kennedy's was underscored. For some reason I just feel like the judges don't like the makeup of her routine. One thing that she's not real crisp in her arms and hands movements she's gotten better with her feet, but she's never really received big scores on that routine even with big tumbling passes and stuck Landings

Edwards has to be the most impressive newcomer. Look where she is in such a short time. Vaults this year already seem to look like people are hammered more, which is why I hope the more 1 1/2s can come out by the end of February.
I feel like we put up 4 solid performances on each event, but then we have 2 routines with miscues that kinda hold the rotation scores back.
Beam especially has looked off all year. I really wonder with DD very hands off now compared to years past has much to do with it. Usually DD is very on top of that event and is precise with how she likes it run. Now she is over on floor way more because that is the rotation of concern. gnat has essentially ran the beam squad all fall and this season.
I think our freshman are doing their parts for the most part. Returners do need to step up. Edwards had two 9.875's, Durante had a 9.875, Campbell had a 9.850. Newcomers have put up from very solid scores, and it will continue to improve but I definitely think returners need to continue to step up

I have noticed this as well. We have to remember that dance is judged too, and her routine may not be the judges' cup of tea. I do think she really needs to work on her leaps for floor and beam. It's really the only thing missing, because she is so good everywhere else.

Yall know they can deduct based off the presentation/artistry of the routine.
It is a .05 deduction they can take off

Yes, I know. I have felt that’s where they could be taking off from time to time.
