2 All American corners and defense was horrible.

I still cannot understand how Pelini fielded one of the worse defenses in the country with not one but two all American corners. One of the most important positions on a team and we had two of the best in the country and was still horrible. Just blows my mind.....

Safety play was the worse I’ve seen in LSU history.

Well, a defense requires 11 on the field AND solid backups. Our AA corners missed several games. But, your simplistic statement left those facts out.

You know...you’re right. We shouldn’t have pulled the plug on Bo so quickly. It wasn’t his crappy coaching- he just didn’t have enough guys.

We didn’t have two AA corners and the one we had missed games and seldom was 100%.
No doubt we should have been much better overall, but we struggled mightily at CB for much of the season as Ward, Flott and the freshman from Texas got their noses bloodied learning the ropes. Even Ricks had issues at times.
The CB crew grew up a lot. With proper leadership the crew should have a stellar 2021.

It’s pretty clear Pelini is vastly overrated.

Stingley missed most of the games. We did not have two AA corners playing.

Well its got to make you excited for next year though. 2 young all American corners with an entire experienced d-line returning. we got a 4 star juco linebacker than can step up and play next year. Hopefully Sampah, white, and Baskerville show out too. We should have a real mean elite defense if O can find a Coordinator.

we probably had the worst safety play in college football history....certainly ever at LSU.

Because the Linebackers were awful and the safeties were even worse.

ER played up to the hype when he wasn’t hurt but Stingely didn’t. I don’t know why the defense was so bad but don’t act like the corners were worthy of the dbu label this year.
