FINALLY, able to bring my son to his first game in TS. Driving in from Orlandeaux. With the early game, what time should I plan on being at the parking lots? Do most tailgaters have "tip jars" for fans/moochers? Other suggestions?
Sucks that it is an early game, but we are excited all the same.
See ya there.

Sorry it's been so long, but this makes me very happy for you. Welcome back, and assuming your son is old enough know that he'll always remember this trip. I sure remember my first game...

If you have not been in that long it will still be alot of fun. You may have to dress as a Kentucky fan if you want to mooch.

I am SOOOOOO excited for him. I feel like I'm back at school. I have not been this pumped up in a long time. Hope I don't get too many speeding tickets on the way over.

It's bad enough living in the land of blue and orange, will not wear Kentucky blue.
I don't like to mooch. I am more than willing to contribute to the pot.

I'm jealous and happy for you all at the same time! That feeling when you walk up to go to your seats and you see the field for the first time in a very long time is priceless.

Awesome that you get to share it with your son.

Congrats! I am jealous, as well. I've not been to a game in Tiger Stadium since 1998. :(

I've been relegated to having to go to Oxford and Starkvegas for LSU games.

You should have picked a night game for your son's first TS experience. Instead of the Tiger Stadium mystique at night, you'll see a sleepy and relatively quiet 11:30 am crowd against a weak opponent with a stadium that's only about 75% full at kickoff and only half full by the start of the third quarter. (Depending on the score)

Have fun with what you have to work with though.

Good grief what took you so long. Do you not own a car or have access to an airport?

This is the best type of game to introduce young children to the experience for all of the reasons you just listed.

Awesome! Enjoy the day and bless you for getting your son to TS for his first game. I finally got my son there last year.....he ate it up. Get there early, stop and get yerself some boudin and sodas and cruise the wonderful tailgating Tigers.

I know, quite embarrassed. When you have kids that are involved in sports and lots of school activities, it is hard to make time. I have seen the Tigers at the Swamp 5 times and been to Atlanta twice.
Time and money, and the lack thereof.

If you see a tip jar, just keep walking. No one should ever collect tips for their tail gating. They either welcome you in or they don't................

You guys are awesome. I am PUMPED!
Yes, will try to get back to a night game, but with TV, you are looking at NSU, W Kentucky, etc.
Looking forward to Saturday.
