He made great contact. Just bad luck.

Right side is his weaker side

Not sure if swinging at first pitch is the play there

So many ways he can get that run home there

This team has a roster full of guys that can show you how to fail in these situations

Pearson could have taken ball 4 to get a run home. Neal swung at first pitch to get White thrown out at home too

Milam K’d in a similar spot also. These guys are not ready for seasoned SEC competition. The guys that did this in front of them are gone

They might get there. It’s just not rightnow

I was going back and forth on this. If the game had been tied I would have safety squeezed, but we were down one and needed two runs. Giving up that out could kill a big inning and cost the game. Milam has been making good contact, although not from that side.

I don’t know. Right before the first pitch I settled on swinging away. If Milam singled we’d be celebrating the series win. If he hit a flyball it’s as good as a bunt. If he hits a ground ball that’s slow, or not right to an infielder, we tie it up. So I’m not going to pile on the coach.

I’d have liked to see a bunt there.

Tie the game and turn the lineup over to Bingham, who’s been hot lately with a runner on second and Tommy on deck.

Yeah Mr. “I didn’t come all this way to lose” Milam screwed LSU twice with runners on 1st and 3rd. Strikeout and grounded into a double play.
