I was drunk and lost my buzz during the first half. I was pissed at the first half. I left at halftime. I shared an apt with 3 friends off campus. I walked back to apt and drank more from the keg we had at apt. Watched the final quarter and saw the comeback. Last time I was ever that buzzed/drunk before a game.

The Houston broadcast is great entertainment, especially the retired coach providing the color. "We gotta, we gotta, we gotta..."
The play by play announcer on that highlight feed is former U of H baseball player and longtime Houston TV voice Bill Worrell. Did play by play for the Rockets for years and was on Astros broadcasts for years as an analyst. He was terrible.

Wasn’t this the game Faulk was suspended for the first half?
No, he had 3 fumbles in the first half, 2 inside LSU’s own 5 yard line that Houston scored TDs off of. He was the reason LSU fell 20 points down at halftime, lol.

That was the 1st game I went to with my new bride.

We tied Bama for co-champs in the SEC west, but interestingly enough we didn't put up a freaking banner to celebrate it
Not sure if they are still there, but the indoor practice facility had banners for all of the West co-champ seasons and West champs for years that we went the the SECCG.

Imagine what this site would have looked like with LSU down 21 to Houston in Tiger Stadium

We haven't been winning long enough around here to be turning our noses up at any win.

Brian Kelly: You've been spoiled
big difference between those two comments though.
DiNardo admitted we weren’t good enough yet to be picky. He knew we were still trying to get to that level.
Brian Kelly was pretty much saying “this is good enough” and you’re a whiner if you don’t think so.

I need to see Kevin’s #3 retired before I hear anything about Dorsey, Burrow or Daniels.
Faulk made it "cool" to stay in state and play for LSU. He has a famous quote about his recruiting visit to Notre Dame. Someone made a comment to him in their stadium like isn't this great and he said yes, but it's no Tiger Stadium

If I remember correctly, this was also the game where the Tiger Band played “Happy Birthday” to the Louisiana Lottery as part of the halftime show. The crowd lost its shite and booed the band, releasing a lot of hostility after such a terrible first half performance by the football team
Now I remember this game. Was thinking the whole thread, “why do I remember this game?” Oh I remember All Eyes on 3. But I remember that Happy Birthday song for the Lottery and, yes, the crowd absolutely lost its ka-ka.

One other thing I remember about that game.
The LSU fans were accused of booing the team as they were going to the locker room at halftime. They weren't booing the team. They were booing the obnoxious Houston male cheerleaders who were dressed in white trenchcoats although it was a sweltering night and were running around with flags trying to egg on the crowd.

Are there any 2025 offensive players who could start on that 96 team? I can’t think of one.
