I for one wood like to see just one player wear it and not as a patch but as an actual number on the jersey. No offensive linemen.

Some obvious ones but I wonder if the powers will say an unexpected name like maybe PJ Woodland

Bordelon is my bet if they do an offensive player. Everyone raves about his work ethic.

I do like 18 on a CB too.

They're so different. 18 is a cool locker room thing for a leader. Like our unique version of a captain patch voted on by players. 7 is too much pressure I think and handed out by coaches.

Yard markers every 5 yards, H goal posts, night games, white jerseys at home, etc. I like the 18 becoming another unique tradition.

18 is Whit Weeks.

With him deciding to return and the role he has taken as the leader carrying over from the old staff to the new, it’s pretty much a guarantee IMO.

The easiest decision in the history of decisions.

ETA: Go ahead and give Trey'Dez Green #7 while we're at it.

It will be Whit Weeks

I hope he is healthy. Maybe it was precautionary to hold him out of scrimmage

Personally, I would prefer to see 18 be reserved for an offensive player if possible and only given to a defensive player if one meets more criteria than an offensive player.

7 should be preferentially for the defense but using a strict criteria of someone who was either an all-american at some level the year prior or is pre-season all american. If no one qualifies on D then offense should be considered.

I guess I want 18 to be the guy that is LSU through and through and beloved by the team, coaches and fans and 7 to have legit skins on the wall.

Giving 7 and 18 to more than one player is dumb. If that’s the case, just hand out captains patches.
