Not a one reason loss:
a) we took Vandy lightly
b) they played very well...
here is where the absence of a BIG man in the middle and lack of a true point guard show up....
*allows many drives to the basket by Vandy
*no leadership in defense
and yes Wade shares the blame.

Next time you go to a game watch him.
Helar meets with the team during the timeouts and Wade wanders around talking to the other assistants or the refs. So maybe it is Helar’s skills that are in question.
How many times have we watched the other team score three or four times or more while we didn’t get a play off? Just saying.

As bad as the D was they still were capable of winning that game but as usual they again committed stupid turnovers late in the game. Both when we cut the lead to 3 and after we took the lead. Stupid turnovers and stupid shots at the end contributed just as much as the lousy defense.

You don’t have to be 6’11” to get in a guys way when he drives to the goal. All it takes is a little effort to get in his path. The team was flat out lazy tonight. Same can be said about defense on the perimeter. Every time Vandy set a pick, we were lazy and went underneath the screen allowing them a wide open 3 or we just stood 5 ft away and let them shoot. Total team loss tonight. Coaches, players, everybody.
