Know one reason why Jones is so good at recruiting? Players love his system and how he lets them play. They like that he doesn't micromanage every move they make and he allows them to play through their mistakes.

So CJJ makes big money by just rolling the ball out there and telling his players to just go out and play? Frick that. Give me a coach that does micromanage and will actually coach.

You can coach without micromanaging genius. It can make players tense and play tight. The more talent you have, the more you should be letting them play things out.

When'd your shift start? When you saw a bunch of poster criticizing his non-use of timeouts while we watched our lead vanish?

No amount of pumping will change the fact that CJJ is not a very good X's and O's guy.

You really think Cal, who has more talent that anyone in the country, would allow a run like Florida went on without any use of timeout? Really? That's bad coaching.

You immediately lose credibility when you use the term "X's and O's guy" when referring to basketball.

You just took a lot of credibility from a lot of guys who know their basketball.

And it's really telling it's that little tidbit you chose to reply to instead of the rest of the post.

You use timeouts to stop a quick run and settle down your players. The run florida had was not quick. Our players were not rattled. The lack of a timeout there was not that big a deal.

When's the last time Jones did that?

We went 7 minutes with no points and Florida went on a 12-0 run. Just because the points aren't bang-bang doesn't mean you don't call a timeout. A timeout should be called to stop the bleeding if anything.

And this isn't the first time this season Jones has watched a lead evaporate while he stood there with a handful of timeouts in his pocket.

Mr. Alleva, the basketball IQ of normal SEC Basketball coaches is heah.
Your basketball coach's IQ is heah.

Winning in spite of Coach Jones because of talent.

Then, you don't watch much college basketball.

I love our want-a-be coach fans who couldn't find their way out of a dead end street coaching basketball in a SEC game thinking THEY have all the answers.

A person didn't have to be an expert on SEC Football to know Curley Hallman needed to go from LSU.

Don't confuse those of us recommending it is time to make a coaching change with any of us representing that we actually know how to coach or run a D-1 Men's basketball program. I don't know how to coach D-1 Basketball, but I can recognize a coach who is consistently out coached.

You really think LSU should fire Johnny Jones before Ben Simmons is on campus? Are you high?

this team has 19 wins on talent only and no coaching. I agree hes clueless at times. It will bite him in the arse when they go to the post season.
