It’s their belief on sports radio that Canada is staying, there was no past tense, Canada is getting paid more than most NFL assistant coaches

I didn’t hear the first part of the show, I tuned in and heard the segment with Booger. They asked him if he thought the OC was on staff, and Booger referred to Canada in the past tense without them stepping in to correct him.

Or 3 Matt Canada thought he was a leading candidate for a head coaching position, informed the administration, and it fell through
Can't be that, not enough drama.

Maybe we'll get lucky, keep Canada and ease O toward the Exit door

Here is the exact quote (I paraphrased in earlier post) from Ed O before the bowl game:

“Matt right now is our offensive coordinator and he’ll call the game.”

Any reasonable person would assume the use of the words right now implies that O was confident that Canada would not be the OC following the bowl game.

If these rumors/reports are true and Canada stays, clearly something changed with respect to O’s plan, availability of “his” guy or the administration simply didn’t want to go back to TAF and boosters to pony up $’s to move Canada out.

In all seriousness it would be extremely dumb to fire Canada

Less than a week ago everyone on here was begging O to put aside his differences with Canada. Looks like that’s what is happening and people are losing their minds

So he did call plays in the bowl game. If he’s staying, why wouldn’t he call the plays...?

LSU probably thought they would be able to shove Steve down our throats and it would be OK

This is what hapoened. We just had our Tennessee moment. I wish we had done it last year.

Did that look like the offense we ran since the Troy game? That's your answer.

Sounds like O doesn’t even have his choices for coaches. It’s sounds like Alleva is pulling all the strings.

the head coach used words that would lead folks to believe Canada was either gone or close to gone

Like what?

I just remember him saying he hopes he gets a head coaching gig, he did not get a head coaching gig so he is not leaving.

Then why didn’t LSU release a statement denying the rumor?

But why entertain the dumbass media?

Matt Canada answered the question asked to him.

Orgeron is so much like us that he even lets his drama play out in the public like a teenager at South Lafourche.

Understatement of the recent history right there.

I am slowly growing disgusted with those in charge.

No it's not; not if you understand the currently reigning and toxic political culture of LSU football under F.King and Alleva.

Alleva = Beancounter and Duke program destroyer; puppet surrogate for FK Alexander = petty politician/political puppet for the real political sharks.
