This leaves open the possibility of simply canning O, promoting Aranda, keeping Canada, promoting Raymond and simply hiring a new DB coach. All the real coaches stay without all the needless drama and instability. Make it happen. Now.

This.

But more realistically, next season.

How many people do we really want to pay not to coach at one time. Can we get some off the payroll before we take on more?

It was an unworkable situation before. You remember that part, right?

With Alleva still here? Could you be more dumb?

Odds are it was Canada that leaked it and not LSU. He went for the innocent victim angle.

I totally disagree. It's pretty clear that Orgeron has been angling to make this happen. He was trying to force Canada's hand and/or Alleva's hand.

No I don't think ensminger called it. I think O ducked around with it like he did earlier, and then got out the way after we got shutout in the first half. The shifts came back in a big way in the second half, and we actually had some success moving the ball. Troy game all over again.

Nah. That was Canada's offense the entire time. I realize you don't want that to be the case.

I would not be upset if Canada stayed, but I would rather Briles

Now what about the story of Canada not calling the bowl game? I actually hope that was the case, because if he is the one that called a 5 yard out route on 4th and 15, he needs a talkin-to.

If O keeps Canada this year, he can lose next year, blame Canada and put Canada's head on the chopping block and squeeze a third year out of the deal before the pressure on him gets too hot.

I'm not sure about that. It's very possible that Orgeron won't get to hire another coordinator if not right now.

If I were advising Orgeron, I'd tell him to load his gun now with the best he has.

But, it's a moot point, because if this OP is true, Orgeron isn't calling the shots and couldn't fire Canada and hire who he wanted.

I still think it's best for LSU, O and Canada himself to stick around.

i don't. i like canada but things seems really toxic between him and O. it's not good for the program to have them both going at it again another year. as others have said i'd just rather fire O but alleva ain't doing that.

I agree and if he plays these sorts of tactics he's a petty, toxic, dictator. If he is playing this sort of smash-mouth politics with his own OC it's bad in a number of ways. First, he is attempting to undermine his boss's (Alleva) position in a passive aggressive, back-stabbing way. Second, he divides and distracts his team because he can't (or won't) effectively manage his talented but difficult OC. This is all on O. Every bit of it.

Really? What lead you to believe that this wasn't accurate? Was it when ANYONE from LSU denied this report?

LSU doesn’t deny reports or comment until after the situation is 100% resolved one way or the other. This isn’t new.

With all of the leaks and reports and “sources” at LSU, they would have to hire a person specifically to respond to them all.

There is enough stuff to bitch about with our program without you making shite up.

That's his MO. Yesterday he claimed O changed the offense for the Miss St game which is BS. That precipitated the change.

Yeah I just went back and listened to the beginning of the show and I’m going to need the op to provide a link to what he thinks he heard.

They speculated Aranda would stay when talking about the Green Bay situation, and the only time Canada was mentioned was to say LSU is officially still saying he is the OC, and offered no further speculation.

What did I miss?
