He will throw a lot of TD passes. I think the better question is how many interceptions will he throw.

If he throws 1 its going to be a great season. If he throws 10 he better throw 50 TD's

During a normal season, I would still take the under. Anything over 20 would be great. I say 18-24 is realistic.

okay obligatory 3.50 answer :-) yet realistically 22 touchdowns by air. So under.

Over!

with Chase, Marshal, McMath, Gilbert, and a running back I don't believe anyone can stop us, unless he gets injured.

That is a risky prediction I know because we don't yet know the schedule.

Under but not a pessimistic under. I think 28-31 and with a better defense, more stops means he is throwing less than Joe last year.

Under-

Joe Burrow was the greatest QB any of us have seen at LSU, and probably in college. He averaged 4 TDs a game in SEC regular season games, which would translate to 40 over 10 games.

Not to make light of Brennan, but I don't expect him to be about 90% as good as Burrow, against teams that now know what our offense is.

Under.

35 touchdowns? Jesus man. Relax.

Anything Over 20 would be a good start for this year. I imagine they’ll run the ball quite a bit more especially in the red zone.

If Myles has a solid year, then I can see him gaining confidence and slinging it more down the field his SR year and getting 30+.

re: 10 game season...Myles TD passes over/under...let's start at 35
Last year Burrow had 29 TD passes in 7 games, but they were against 6 arse pass defenses (the 7th was Florida who was ranked 31st in pass defense). Group of 5 and Vandy aside, Texas was the worst pass defense he and LSU in general, played by a long shot with Miss St knocking on 100th best pass defense themselves. Also on the opposite end of the spectrum, he was deadly against better pass defenses too. Versus 5 top 41 pass defenses, he had 18 TD passes (damn near 4 TD passes per game ).

If we go purely by pass defense, UF, and Bama should finish in the top 30 again this year. UK and Mizzu had top 10 passing defenses, but those are deceptive because they barely played anybody with a decent passing game, but they did shut down anybody that had a mediocre or worse passing game. Technically, they should both be in the top 40 range as well this year as they should have plenty seniors and their defenses weren't built on turnovers. Tennessee was another overrated team pass defense, but should finish top 40 as well this year. TAMU will no doubt be top 30

That's my reasoning behind the stat line. I think LSU will throw enough to keep him at 3k (35 passes per game at at least 8.6 per pass will net him 300), but the redzone is key in his TD passes. Last year 35 of Burrow's 60 TDs were in the redzone. If you rewatch the games, he was pretty much an assassin inside the 10 yard line minus the Auburn game. Brady also drew up some great plays there that I hope Ensminger keeps up with. Brennan's skill in the redzone and Ensminger's play calling there will be the difference between 20-23 TD passes or 28-31 TD passes in the regular season.

Season prediction

225/350 3150 yards 27 TD 10 int

Under. More like 22.

Inexperienced qb with inexperienced OL is NOT a recipe for 35 TD passes.

A very inexperienced team with no cupcakes to practice on is a recipe for some losses.

Gotta look at that differently while Brennan is inexperienced, he's a 4th year junior, it's no different than Burrow stepping in as a transfer. The good thing about that is not only does Brennan have the best receiving corps in the nation, he knows the offense, has chemistry with the players, learned behind a capable QB and learned from multiple NFL minds. He also got in the game va TAMU enough to know how it feels so he isn't going into the season straight blind there. OL isn't THAT inexperienced either. Hines, Ingram, and Deculus all have good experience, and the two inexperienced guys are Uber talented.

On your second note, LSU is just like everybody else in regards to that.
