I'm assuming you're referring to Miles. But, now you're saying we had less talent because of that. Wouldn't that seem to make it more imperative to have a special teams coach?

To be an LSU fan requires you root for LSU. To be an O fan requires you to root for O. Coaches come and go but the program stays the same. I support the team and root for the team, I wish O has success but I don't see him as the man for the job. No one has to support him just cause hes our coach.

Miles had some very good kickers during his tenure.

It's amazing. Miles has been gone nearly 2 full years and he's being blamed. Saban was gone for 3 full years and is getting credit.

it's sadly hilarious the extreme they go through to blame miles for O's shortcomings.

You keep creating artificial expectations so you can claim “yeah! I was right! O sucks!”

But keep doing you fella.

They weren’t so artificial with Miles, were they?
I’m just pointing out the double standard people have because of where the coach is from.

So we should no longer have high expectations?

This is the worst facet of the O era to be honest.

to have two wrenching, embarrassing losses like that would absolutely have crushed most teams' psyches. This team went on a tear instead

Because that's what Orgeron excels at. That's why he was good in interim spots. He circles the wagons as well as anyone.

The potential problem is that he needs that catalyst of those gut wrenching losses to reach his team. If that's the case he's worth nothing as a HC. What evidence do we have that he can thrive with high expectations?

Did I say that? I said this particular clown says dumb shite like “so we should be undefeated with all the good news right?”

That’s about as low as you can get on the logic scale.

Can you read? I said 10-2 is the minimum expectation, and you equate that with undefeated?

Ironic that you should make any reference to logic.

You said 10-2 Is the floor. You’re equating good news around the program (whatever that even means) into multiple wins.

We got Burrow. That’s the only thing affecting this year’s record.

No you didn’t. The thread is about a floor of 10-2. You mentioned artificial expectations in response to that.

What does this even mean? And I really hope Burrow pans out. I feel like a lot of you are putting lofty expectations on a kid that’s never started.

I think it’s hilarious that any time someone posts positivity about Orgeron, you’re in the thread defending him against any negative responses...until that positivity reflects high expectations. Then you walk it back. How dare we expect LSU to actually have better records than the coach we fired!!

By week 7, 6-6 will be the floor.

and the Otards will be saying what a great season for Orgeron when they go 7-6 by beating Iowa State in the Who Gives a shite bowl. A winning record with such a tough schedule and new offensive coordinator.

Ask the other guy. He put “10-2 is the floor with all the positive developments right?”

The only positive developments that have any effect on this season is Burrow coming, and even then he is still a partially unknown commodity.

This thread was a negative thread. Don’t be obtuse.

The fact that you see a thread saying “10-2 should be the floor with all these positive developments” as a negative thread proves you’re an O fan more than an LSU fan.

Don’t wanna put those heavy expectations on your guy, huh? I mean, the hell with the LSU football program, 8-4 should be good enough for the fans as long as we have “one of us” as head coach.

The other day when I said this very thing basically, I was labeled an O hater, being negative and attacking people that say anything positive about the program.
