Amazing LSU is leading the West with that type of production from the bottom of our lineup. Must have a great coach...is what any objective baseball fan would say

Great point, but we’ve seen it fizzle at the end. You usually are who you are when it gets to nut cutting time. Haven’t had it all fall together since 09

There's way more to success than batting average.

Still 3rd or 4th in runs/game in SEC games.

But if we're talking BA there are still 9 SEC teams with worth team averages.

So are you inferring that any of their obp or metrics are better?

Not surprising that hitting struggles at times.
LSU scored 12 runs tonight against the team with the lowest team ERA in the SEC.

Your timing in starting this thread is karma for you.

Garza can’t catch right now and neither can Willis. Who would you start over Mathis?

Looks like this change to batting 5th may work out for him. Hope he can keep it up so we can play him at 2nd and Gio at DH. Obviously that's pending Watson's injury and Dugas coming back.

Sometimes your 6 other hitters can’t carry lineup.

Broussard stepped it up tonight.
He should start at 2nd tomorrow with Gio or Willis at DH.

So it’s all or nothing for you? Trips to Omaha isn’t putting it all together? 2nd place finish wasn’t good enough just two years ago? Cmon man

Thank god you found two programs to support your shitty argument. Both programs, in another conference, across the country, with a different baseball mentality, should really support your argument.

About what?

Broussard improving?
We saw that tonight

Mathis?
Dude is awful at the plate but he gets lucky sometimes
He’s also the best we have at catcher right now & has improved behind the plate

Sitting Dugas?
Ask OP about that one

It seems like we have had few games that Mathis, Broussard, and Hughes all started like tonight. Seems like we usually have TWO kids hitting just below .200 not 3.

The BIG problem is that Garza has not come on at catcher and at the plate as everyone thought he would.

Agree on Garza

I really think Broussard will improve as he gets more at bats

He’s had 64
6th lowest on roster

Not sure I’m following you. Are you saying these guys are improving/serviceable?

You do realize he’s been around this level of baseball a while, right?
