They have just as good a chance of doing it as any other top 5 team. As long as Chambliss is healthy they are in the mix.
They will be a fringe playoff team by the end of the season.

He left to go somewhere that he thinks he can sustain winning at a higher level and compete for championships every year, not just once in a while. Plus, he probably wanted to get away from the douchebags in Oxford. I don't think some people understand how ghey that town is and how uppity they are.
Considering the histories of both programs, it's hard to say he made the wrong decision.
Chambliss is (probably) gone after this year. Hard to see Ole Miss keeping it up after this year. Petey got gifted this win because of the program and players Kiffin had in place.

Ole Miss has a co sec champion flag to fly and they do. Thats as good as it gets. If they don’t get lucky and win a championship in the SEC this year with a 6 year starter in Chambliss they likely are back to a lower tier team. They did look like an 8th ranked team. And we looked pretty sloppy with penalties. I must give ole miss credit on their o line a d line that beat us most of the night

This game meant nothing in terms of that.

Just admit u are a gay arse ole Miss fan. Ole Miss will be irrelevant next year and Trinidad truly wanted to come to lsu. Year 1 under lane, chill out

Y'all are going to realize Lane Kiffin cannot win the big games

Weve got a 5star back up QB who is going to be better than Trinidad

We were just a qb away from a win
Yep.
That is also my assessment.
With slightly above average QB play, LSU wins that game.

Florida is favored to beat them next week. That isn’t a top 5 team.

Kentucky…Florida 2 years ago told us all we needed to know. Not to mention the easiest schedule the last two years in the school’s history. Look it up. He had money and resources and still blew it. Fact.

their defense is terrible.
Holds offensive mastermind lane Kiffin to 24 points 150 yards passing. Caves your OLine in all night. So is lsu bad?

What exactly are you referring to that went right? Blake bakers ridiculously soft Defense all game?

They will lose to texas and Georgia their defense is terrible. Leavitt is just so bad couldn’t take advantage.
Hell, I think they could lose next week at Florida. That’s a trap game if I’ve ever seen one. Coming off their emotionally draining Super Bowl it’ll be tough to get back up again for a decent Gator squad.
