Like he’s totally not the problem, and we’re good with riding with his defense as long as he’ll grace us with his presence? And Lane can kick rocks? That’s the general consensus I’m gathering.

I think it's too far to say he's a bad DC. But he also makes some really odd choices sometimes. Like he's trying to get too clever for his own good.

Lane came to LSU thinking he would have a defense to rely on in big games. Gave baker a three point lead with Kentucky needing to go 50 yards in a min 30 for a FG. They did it easy. Gave him a lead in overtime.

This. Kiffin spent most of the offseason talking about having a defense he can lean on.
Well, Between injuries and Bakers obsession with soft zone it’s backfiring.
No going to get a half a yard to ice the game isn’t what LSU fans wanted when Kiffin was hired.

Can be frustrated and have emotion.
I am still glad LSU has Kiffin, but he should have showed some balls there.
Cannot rely on the defense to keep them out of FG range when they were going to have 4 downs to get 1st downs. Just can't.

All the offense had to do was get another 1st down. Instead a dumb play call with Leavitt running the ball for no gain, then on 4th and 1, we punt? How about tush push, qb sneak, something!!!

Disagree....we were supposed to have an elite defense. We arent close to that and the coverages by baker are head scratching. Look, we arent winning with Leavitt. He is a turnover machine...but id expect more out of Baker

Baker is good coordinator
