Saban was 6-5 his first season at bama. Im just as pissed off as everyone else. Trying somehow to see some kind of brightness ahead. Down vote away

It doesn’t matter what era it is. You need players that fit what you want to do and one quick cycle isn’t going to do that. Anyone living in reality knew that we weren’t winning a title year one.

You used to be able to build a team back them. They are all 1 year rentals now. Most move on after 1 year and you bring in a new group to try to get to gel in a few months.

That was a different time in the sport bro. Nowadays, you don’t get to use that excuse that it’s only the first year of the second year. Not when you can spend the kind of money that teams are spending on a roster each season. Each year is win or bust. The program building era is done. Every year is when now.
