What were your expectations? We held them to 6 points so whatever job he had, he was a part of it. You weren’t expecting him to Honey badger it up every week were you?

He played good just wasn’t his night to have the splash plays. The interior d line wreaked havoc.

Ross was getting pressure, but the interior was eating Reed alive last night. Really happy with how Geralds, Green & Blocton played up the middle last night

Game plan didn’t call for him to press hard from the outside and flush. They wanted him to set the edge and contain. He did exactly that which is why the inside guys feasted all night.

The ends focused on contain more the last two weeks because of the running ability of the opposing QBs. I think they will be more visibly impactful against Kentucky and Auburn

You don’t have to be in every highlight reel to have a great game. Every player on the field can’t make every play…. Everton is always bitching about not being able to stop running QBs and you do it by not over pursuing on the edges, containing them in the pocket and pressuring up the middle, and that would be why the DTs had a great game. Reed didn’t have anywhere to go because the ends played disciplined football and didn’t over pursue.
