There’s no doubt lsu is the better program but as of right now Ole Miss is the better team.

Maybe we are a lesser program. We haven't done shite since most of the players hit puberty (excluding Chambliss)

Ole Miss and Texas were circled by everyone as the two most difficult games on the schedule.

My roommate who played semi competitive rec league soccer came home one day after a game looked glum and I asked him what happened and he said "We lost to the worst team in the league"
and I said "Technically doesn't that make you the worst team in the league?"
and he laughed.

As long as LSU is surrounded by a ridiculous amount of drama and very negative media coverage, we will continue to struggle to build a top 10 program. Right now, we’re nowhere near being a top 10 program. We’re an okay program with a bunch of transfers who we really don’t know much about. We’re throwing huge money at players that we didn’t develop. We’re have an average QB and some good receivers. Still not a great running game to be seen. We have a defense that can never defend against a mobile QB.
We aren’t that good. What we are is a damned circus.

They'll drop off after this year when Chambliss leaves. Kiffin built that program and I don't think Golding will be able to sustain it.

The 2005-07 teams were a direct continuation of the players and infrastructure Saban built up. Even what Les did from 10-12 was riding the fumes of Saban.
From 01-2012 we won two national titles, played for a third, won four sec titles, won ten or more games 8 times. We were arguably the best program in the country for that ten year stretch.

“Lesser” programs in the SEC are much better than the old days due to TV money. Still lesser. But the gap has narrowed.

Yeah, math checks out, if you take out all of the years where LSU was good they've been mediocre.

The last 15 years we’ve had one good season. 15 years before Saban we had maybe one good season. In the past 40 years we had one decade where we were consistently elite.
We’ve had 30 years of mediocrity and one lightning in a bottle greatest season of all time outside of the ten or seasons where we had Sabans fingerprints

OM was a playoff team last year. They are no longer the lesser program
