If we can get the OL and Leavitt fixed this team will be fine. He has another year

to grow as a passer. I expect us to improve each week. Beating Georgia would be an extra plus.

Leavitt can't be fixed. He's taller than Manziel and has twice as many passes knocked down. You can't fix that.

This is correct.
Combined with a DC that can't scheme to stop a decent QB, and this is not the formula.
It is just year one. We will be fine. Get rid of Baker for starters. You won't win anything with him at DC.

As the game went on the Oline settled in. I think it all comes down to Leavitt getting comfortable with the system and the speed of the game. We also need a WR to make a few plays when it’s not right on them.

After the first quarter the o line settled in well. It’s not their fault Sam bails after a half second.

We started to settle in during the second half. The coaches will come up with something. We just can’t get down like that early. It’s hard to come back from that.

If and but’s were candy and nuts, we’d have a merry Christmas.

I remember the JD's first year at LSU.... everyone wanted him benched.... can't be fixed.... not the answer.... and all the other comments.
Leavitt didn't really have a Spring so we are working with a QB who only really had a fall camp. Will he be great? Who knows, but to write him off because he is struggling in his first season is a little premature.
If he is still making the same mistakes at the end of the year as he is now then I would suspect Lane will be going get another QB in the portal and you will know for sure what he thinks of Leavitt.
You can say a lot about Lane, but he knows how to develop QBs.
