First half was a disaster. Basically the exact opposite of how you want to start a game in a hostile environment. I think the moment and crowd had most of the team overwhelmed. But they settled down and showed some fight in the second half.

Sam Leavitt didn’t play good, still showed grit and leadership in that game. I expect Chuck and Lane to adjust the game plan to play into his strengths more as the season moves on.

More concerned about Baker’s play calling and random aggressive/conservative nature. If you’re going to be aggressive, be aggressive. Don’t half arse it trying to do both.

No matter what, that over hyped shite is behind us.

Time for the rest of the season.

Leavitt is garbage. He'll win the easy ones and choke on the hard ones.

Me too im just mad at just leavitt energy vampire dudes like that suck the life out your defense knowing he can’t score. And even when you do it seems complicated.

You don’t stop teams like that forever. Very jordan jefferson ish.

im concerned he is not who we thought he was

hehas to learn to be a passer first

climb pocket

go through reads

he runs too soon like JD in 2022

but we have no downfield passing game like we did with any of our good to great Qbs

Have to take the bad with the good with Sam for sure. Is what it is hopefully Lane can drill some sense into him.

He's a gamer but he leaves the pocket way too soon at times, doesn't keep his eyes downfield & has inconsistent footwork which leads to poor throws.

If anyone blew it it was Blake Baker, get real

LSU is a playoff team. Ole Miss is also a playoff team.

Baker’s soft defense was driving me off the wall.

He missed some easy ones and has accuracy issues, but also made some excellent plays and had a perfect long TD throw. LSU's O-line made a lot of mental mistakes and did not play well enough. Their run blocking got better as the game went on, but in the first half they were garbage getting beat bad and getting penalties.

It’s just so predictable.

You can tell when they’re bringing the house and you can tell when they’re dropping eight. Even when it’s disguised it’s still obvious somehow.

Hopefully this game + Lane helps him see that.

They didn’t our qb overthrew open players all night. He completes some of those and they look bad too.

Difference here is he doesn’t get another year to get better so we should move on now with one of the guys who do get more chances.
