Hate the slide rule.

You would think your quarterback would know the rule. He had plenty more space to pick up a couple more yards. Got scared.

Kenny Pickett rule. Even still though Sam had the first down easily he didn't need to slide so soon.

it really shud be spotted when he was touched down.... the slide just provides safety for the qb

After Kenny Pickett, everyone universally agreed it was a good rule change.
Blame Leavitt for being dumb. The rule is fine. Because QBs should not be able to fake slide while also getting free 15 yards if hit while sliding.

What I hate is they call the quarterback down where he start the slide but still allow the defensive player to pile on him when he is down.
