Reggie Bush could break a tackle
I love Berry especially in the open field or when he has room to run. Between the tackles for tough yards is Dilin Jones forte. The 2 backs compliment each other.

Dilin is definitely number 1.
Berry is definitely number 2 and getting closer. Which is exactly what we want. We want two number ones ideally.

He really ran Hard last night. He is stepping up his game.
I hope it continues.

He needed that confidence booster last night. I know it was Mcneese but we will need him for depth going forward.
Look like he has put on some weight as well. Looked a little bigger than start of the season.

And Gage showed why he was getting snaps ahead of Berry previously. They need more out of RB2 but at the end of the day it was McNeese. They are supposed to do this

They been working on Berry getting downhill quicker and more often. Thats what Cole said on the broadcast last night.

We couldn’t do that against McNeese or anyone else the last few years other than JD.

it was McNeese

I’m not dismissing it but context matters. A lot of the feeling is just confirmation bias. When the situation is meaningful & he can come in and do his job & protect the ball then we will know more.

I think he's got 2 options this off-season. Either work on the hands and some route running and become a super gadget player or bulk tf up to be an every down type of back. Right now he's too small to give him too many carries and he doesn't run block well enough to be out there consistently

I still love Dilin Jones against SEC-caliber opponents, but I’d love to see Berry get more touches as a third-down back and catch some balls out of the backfield. The runs were great, but how was his blocking? That’s the whole reason he’s been on the bench to begin with. You can’t be a one-trick pony in this league. Hopefully he gets serious about improving his blocking, because the kid is a freak athlete.

He was playing against high schoolers. Calm down
FYI, nice move, but a d1 backer makes the okay for a 3 yd gain

I would not mind a "Reggie Bush, Lendale White" combo in the backfield a la Berry and Jones.

Nate Sheppard would be nice in this offense.

Ya think lol?
He’s so far ahead of Berry is not even worth a comparison. He always was.

Harlem is starting to show he is getting more comfortable in the offense. I think it was a mix of lack of blocking and learning the offense. He’s showing he’s learning and wants to prove himself which is great!
DJ is still #1 to me. His vision is really good and is elite in traffic. His cutting ability find to 3,4 or 5 extra yards is impressive. He’s built for this type of zone scheme.
Harlem is coming though. Would like to see better vision and patience, but he is showing improvement. We need him!
