CLK's first season record might be worse than CBK's

Sucks but is the cold hard truth. The "first year" excuse doesn't fly with the money/resources thrown at Lane. There are others in their first year looking better also.
In 2022 CBK went 10-2 including beating #7 Ole Miss and #6 Alabama and won the SEC West.
With the remaining schedule there is a high chance of a very disappointing season. I don't think anyone realistically thought they would be a real contender, but they are definitely on trajectory to underperform even conservative hopes.

CBK's first season at LSU was an absolute lie. LSU played literally nobody and when they did, they go absolutely destroyed by any team with a pulse. The SEC was horrible that year with only a few good teams and those few good teams blasted LSU by like 30+ points.

The SEC is a meat grinder with its new 9 game schedule. It might be year 1 but you better get that new team put together, bought in and get that machine oiled and running quickly because it will get ugly for teams quick when they faulter.

Gotta think long term. We’ll take our lumps this season, as will Lane. He fricked up tonight not going for it on 4th and a half yard. He’s improved at every stop he’s been at. LSU is no exception.
