I was 100% wrong about today’s game. Hope this means he’s continuing to grow and get better. Because in a year or so when Lane has a full roster with his offense, it’s gonna be insane.

We have as much talent as anyone in the country on that side of the ball, and I’m not exaggerating. We also dominate statistically… and yet, we have choked in clutch situations on either:
1. Goofy arse alignments
2. Goofy arse situational playcalling
3. Overpursuit somehow leaves a 15+ yard radius in the middle of the field completely devoid of LSU players
That’s a glaring indictment of playcalling and situational coaching in-game.
He is good at literally everything else (recruiting / evaluating, development, depth chart, base scheme & gameplanning)… but this is going to rear its head again at some point in a tighter game. Never fails.
