Bad spot killed us.

Leavitt with 11:35 in the 4th quarter scrambled and is inexplicably screwed over on the spot. Instead of getting it just past the 12, the ref spots it at the 11.
Jones runs after that and is less than one yard from the first down. A proper spot on the previous play would have been a first down run by Jones.
As it was, we fail to get the first and then allow the long punt return and TD.
Maybe we would have lost either way, but one yard screwed us once more. This time, it wasn’t a 4th down decision by our coach, it was a horrible spot by the ref. It was clear where the ball should have gone. It might not have won us the game, but it would have at least avoided the embarrassment that followed

Is this where we ran out of shotgun direct snap to Jones? The play that even La Tech started to shut down after seeing the Clemson film? Yeah that play sucks. Just go under center and have the rb push you over.

The line judge on the bama side fricked us on spots no less than 6 times tonight. It was bad

I didn’t notice this one, but I saw more than a handful of spots for us that was a yard short of where it looked. I rewinded some because I couldn’t understand how that kept happening and no one was bitching about it.

It was Jones with the bad spot on 2nd down not Leavitt. The band cranked up the first down song and they marked us short. We should have challenged it. Jones is stopped on 3rd and that's where it completely turned!

They should have challenged at least 2 and the last one should have been reviewed and the al dl man put his helmet DOWN INTO LEVITT
