Clyde was a 3* that we grabbed after a few whiffs and had serious talent ahead of him.

Clyde was a longtime commit (nearly a year). We were wanting two backs in that class and were all in on Akers. When Akers went to FSU, we tried to get Ettienne in January.

To be fair, Clemson stuff for Etienne also happened in January.

Wouldn’t be upset at all. If Coach O and staff want him, then hold that tiger.

I’d be hopeful that it works out but incredibly skeptical. Kid has multiple red flags related to academics, discipline and commitment. If I were a betting man, I’d say he doesn’t finish his career in BR.

I would much rather he be a Tiger, then have to deal with him at A&M for 3 years. With the right coach and locker room Evans has Heisman potential. Life is about risk and this kid is worth the risk simply because we dont want him suiting up for another SEC West program. Only a fool would prefer he go play for Jimbo.

If he qualifies.

And if he can avoid getting suspended.

And if he actually stays committed to aTm.

Based on what people on this board are sharing, none of those things appear to be givens.

His EQ outweighs his football IQ.

The probability that he'll be a team distraction is high. Therefore, only teams in SERIOUS need and willing to take a risk should consider him.

We have had head case RBs in the past.

Easy pass!

Absolutely. Just hate to see people get offended when things don't work out how they expect.

2. I'm sure they all are saying the same thing. Its pretty common sense if you know anything about the situation. You're more than welcome to ask Shea or any of the other ones if I subscribe to their site or not. I do not now nor have I ever been on that site, nor have I been on that other site Derek used to run that people like to accuse me of.

Cool! Again, I was only stating that it was fuel on your haters fire when you post exact comments soon after multiple 247 stories come out.

3. The reason I left actually had nothing to do with backlash. It mostly had to do with the fact I realized the recruiting board was getting more focused around me than LSU football recruiting, so after talking with some people I've decided to post a lot less and basically only pop in when I have something to say. Not going to give opinions or answer questions in every single thread they're asked in.

Excellent! I stand corrected.

Cheers!

Well, there's want, will, and can.

Want: would we want Evans? Hell yeah. He's a stud. Yes, even with the off field issues, he's that good.

Will: Will CEO take him? Unknown. With firsthand conversation with him do they see him as a good kid led astray? Maybe they seem him as a basket case and want nothing to do with him. So unknown, because we don't know what they see as far Evans as a person... his makeup.

Can: Can we take him? Nope. Too much with the recruitment, too many questions with eligibility and he forced our hand to go look elsewhere and we can't go back without risking our relationship with another RB. I'm drawing some parallels with Hootie v. Adams. Once Hootie 'decommitted' from Bama we had already moved on and there was no going back (that and it was a setup by Burns and Napier to get us penalized).

I agree

Ignore the people poking at you

Life is too short to let such hateful souls bring you down

Not enough self loathing and remorse for me. Do better.

Let me put this in perspective for you. Think of the worst moment in your life. That's how you made people on this board feel when you said some things would happen and those things didn't actually happen. You literally crushed their souls. It shows tremendous strength that they can muster the courage to even read this board anymore, much less post.

Please don't come back until you are ready to show TRUE remorse and are willing to atone for your misdeeds.

I took as him talking about the Burton saying Jarrett or me thread. That one got the natives, and mods, in a frenzy. It spread like wildfire and in hindsight, according to Caleb Williams, from Jarrett's perspective, not true. Williams commented that Jarrett was trying to recruit him to Maryland a week before signing day. His mind was made up.

Agree with the poster above in that vol is good for this board. He provides info that many here just don't have the time or desire to broaden their scope of info. I was that way at one time myself many years ago.
