I’d put my money on Deion Smith as the best in the class personally. It’s good we have multiple guys in the discussion nonetheless.

Not sure what house245 is smoking, but he is NOT wrong about Malik Nabers potentially being the best receiver.

Quite possible he ends up being the steal of this class.

Would depend on attrition and how things move forward. They'll give him a shot at WR first and when they see him there I doubt they move him. I think he'll be a much better WR than CB. He seems underrated.

I agree. Naber's tape doesn't like. He's a beast and potentially the best we out there. I like all of our guys. All catch well and flash great RAC ability. Bech is going to be special also. Physical, mean, and has good body control on those jump balls.

Nabers took jojo earle's spot.

They want him at receiver. I think when all is said and done malik will be a really good #2 receiver with a shot at 1

If Jack moves to more of a TE role, Nabers will be needed at WR. It’s a wide open competition for the WR3. He should have every chance to compete

I really like Nabers, but this simply isn't true. Those top 3 guys--Hilton, Thomas, and Smith--are on a different level from Nabers and Bech.

I'm very confident that Nabers and Bech are gonna be awesome, but those other 3 are better prospects.

You could add one more in Shazz Preston ans we are still good for 2022 without nabers at wr.

But what if Nabors turns out to be the best of the WRs? This won’t be played out on a spreadsheet.

My opinion is that it could be played out on a spread shee if Maurice Hampton , Todd Harris or jordon tiles transfer or get injured.

Then yes, a spreadsheet may just get involved in the safety position no matter how good you think nabers is at wr. LSU has its pick from instate 2022 receivers. Yes he could be better than any of them.

Sting ley from what I I have heard could be the second best wr on the team. But he needs to be at cb right? If there is a dearth at safety and nabers or someone else from wr position could play it, they may be there.

If there are 10-11 wr and only 4 or 5 safeties, we don’t want to get caught in a fiesta bowl with wrs having to learn on the fly how to play dB.

I disagree. After watching the highlights of these kids (and I’m aware that doesn’t tell the whole story) I think Smith is the best prospect. I did not see enough from Hilton, Thomas, or Nabors to put them in Smith’s level, but mostly that’s because their QBs could not get the ball to them in competitive situations. Jo-Jo Earle was right up there with Smith, imo.

I hope You’re right. If that’s the case, then it confirms some serious talent that we knew was coming.

Many had Smith as the top prospect coming out of Mississippi this year.

was just looking at the WR ratings on 247 and didn't realize that Dion Smith was ranked even higher than Thomas and Hilton (at least on the composite rankings he was). Looked like most of his highlights on there (which were from his junior year) was just of him running straight down the the field and catching the deep ball and then out racing everyone to the end zone. Also had some impressive punt and kickoff returns as well. Didn't look as elusive as Boutte or Hilton after the catch on underneath routes but should be hell of a deep ball threat for us. Looks like we hauled in 3 consensus studs, plus 2 under rated sleeper studs, at WR in this class. Each top notch WR's, but all with unique styles and strengths that brings something different from each other to the offense. The more I look at it the more I love this WR class.

or at least according to the recruiting services they are, but you know how that sometimes goes. I think a good argument could be made for anyone of those 5, but only their actual play on the field in due time will tell the story. I'm already jonesin for next season. to get here
