re: Why would anyone sign with South Carolina?

I’m not saying he should sign with USC to clarify. I’m just answering the question of why anyone would sign with USC. I think Burch would benefit more and enjoy college football more playing at LSU.

Same reason Kevin Faulk signed with LSU when he did

All I know is: if we lose out on both Burch and McJackson, that's some massive talent we're missing out on.

Of course, perhaps I'm misreading your statement, were you just trying to help make his point?
The point is South Carolina football has ZERO historical relevance and is NOT trending in a direction of relevance. In 2016 LSU was 5 years removed from an SEC championship and playing in the NC and less than ten years from winning the NC with that same coach. That's twice as many conference championships and one more NC than SoCarol has won in their entire history. In 2016 LSU was still considered to be a strong competitor and a few Lousiana OL and DL could have made a tremendous impact. Bottom line, LSU had proven potential to win Conference Championships and National Championships, USCe DOES NOT and most certainly will not in the time Burch would be on their team.

Early playing time
Less competition
Close to home
Big fish on a little team
Relationship with position coach
Mo$t lucrative Incentive$
It's clearly NOT to compete for championships!

When the first two words you use are an insult to the head coach, you really lose a lot of credibility to influence. Thanks for the terrible post.

Why did Kevin Faulk come to LSU back then? Hell, why didn't Burch go to Clemson?

Burch would start day 1 at LSU.
Why the downvotes on this? If we go to a 4-3, do y'all see ANYBODY that would be a better fit and playmaker at SDE than him?

Why do people on this board find it difficult to understand why a kid would stay home. These threads are idiotic. So when we aren’t very good and kids go elsewhere, they are excommunicated but when a kid from out of state is staying home instead of coming to LSU he’s an idiot and his school is garbage.

Why would Kevin Faulk sign with LSU? According to your logic, once a team is down, they can never rise again.

This I can answer. He went to their "All In" picnic over the summer and said they were weird. Seemed to have lost interest at that point and he never went back to their campus.
He's right fwiw. They are weird.

Dabo also tried to uproot him from his family and get him to IMG. Mama Burch was pissed.

Piss Mama Burch off and it's over for sure. She doesn't play when it comes to Jordan.

It’s like this board forgets they got really salty when Cam Robinson, Landon Collins and Sopsher left Louisiana to “win championships”
LSU was coming off 10 win seasons the years Robinson and Sopsher commited to Alabama. LSU was preparing to play in the NC when Collins conmitted. South Carolina is coming off a 4-8 season (29-34 in the last 5 seasons) with little hope of beating out Florida or Georgia in the next 3 years and coach on the hot seat. The situations aren't exactly the same.

Nobody knows. When he took the visit to South Carolina that guaranteed you would hear these positive things about him and SC.
There was no chance he would be in the middle of his visit and you would hear something like “Burch is not enjoying his time at SC, he’s all LSU!”

Our recruits where our jerseys on visits too.

Didn't see him send a thing out on social media with your stuff on. He didn't even send out the pic y'all took of him with the group of recruits he was there with. There's been at least half a dozen of him from our visit, however.
ETA: I want to add I am not trying to troll your board. I was pretty certain he would flip until the past week. I'm no longer worried at all. Y'all have to know we hear a lot more info being right here. It's probably a lot like it is there where everybody pretty much knows everybody.
