Why would anyone sign with South Carolina?

Must choke will be fired next year and their program sucks. Makes no sense. They have never won shite.

South Carolina isnt broke and can get creative as well. They need this one badly. Burch and his Mom's visit to LSU was brilliant.

Unfortunately some kids don't always care about winning. Some want to play locally near family and help build up a program.
Hope he picks LSU though. He's a special talent.

Burch won't win a title at USC but he will start Day 1 and have 3 years to rack up incredible numbers, maybe win some prestigious awards, and be a very high NFL draft pick while being close to home. I get that. He'll also be locked into the Gamecock alumni network the rest of his life which is a nice bonus if things don't work out for him and he has to actually get a job in the state of South Carolina.

This. Just years ago in the Les era all of us on here were questioning why a kid would leave Louisiana to go to Bama (to win championships) and become excommunicated as Louisianians for life after football. Can’t have it both ways.

Wrong! It has been proven that LSU can and has won multiple SEC and National Championships. USCe has NEVER won a damn thing!
Belay my last..they won the SEC east in 2010 and won ONE ACC conference championship FIFTY years ago in 1969!
Also it must be noted that the lone year USCe made it to the SECCG, Auburn beat the brakes off them 56-17.

The issue with Burch is he wants to stay close to momma. However, momma Burch loves her son and she is pushing Jordan to sign with LSU cause she knows LSU is a far better place for him relative to SC.

They won some shite this past season. USC beat Kirby is all I know about for USC and That's bout it.

It’s like this board forgets they got really salty when Cam Robinson, Landon Collins and Sopsher left Louisiana to “win championships”, and be front riding dick riders at Bama, instead of trying to start a new championship tradition at LSU.

Clearly there is, Just a few years ago, say 2016, it had been 9 years since LSU had won a NC and had only really competed for 1 once in the interim. But you responded with "well, USCe has never won anything". Which wasn't his point. His point was that people here were dogging kids who decided to forego their home state's best university for a place they felt gave them a better chance of winning a Natty, those same people are now using the argument that a young man should do just that.
Of course, perhaps I'm misreading your statement, were you just trying to help make his point?
