Pyburn sets the edge really well and is a immediate upgrade to the run defense. He will force plays back to the inside or tackles for short gains or loss. His pass rushing game needs work but lsu is lucky to have the best in the buisness to help him with that. Excellent pickup!

I loved what a FL sports reporter said about him. “ Every defense needs a psycho on the field and that’s Pyburn” and he will definitely set the edge” wasn’t much of a pass rusher but think he’s coachable and he really wants to be on the field so I think he’ll do what he has to to be on the field

Even in Jacksonville our local media sports were bummed that he left especially for our tigers. He was a legit player for Florida and in the SEC. GREAT GET

Because he’s limited. He’s only going to help in the run game as a very limited pass rusher. From his film it looks like he either makes a play or gets washed out. He’s a really good rotational guy but that’s about it

Could help with mindset, too. Pyburn said he is the hammer to the nail. Love his attitude. Good pickup.

His excessive demands turned people off
But I’m sure he came down to reality
He has to be a big help at a weak spot on our D
________

Latest info is the demand list was made up by some Florida posters that didn't want him to leave.

Reminds me of a smaller version of Rashad Lawrence.

Good solid player. Does his job and gets very little hype but it very good.

Its obvious, he is white and there is a conspiracy on this website where no one will ever mention a player if he is white no matter how good he is.

I’m happy with him. We needed 2 legit DE’s and we got them. Add Reliford, and hopefully Carpenter takes that next step, and you have a solid rotation on the edge.

It's hard to get excited about the portal. We lose Womack and gain Pyburn, same ith Collins and VB. It's about a wash. It's not like we traded Collins for Manning. These portal moves are about a wash - imo. I don't think anyone cares any more. Personally, I hate to see 15 or 20 players quit the team every year. Unless we bring in starters forom OSU, UGA ,Bama and Oregon every year, I'm not going to get excited. Grand Valley State and Southeastern doesn't excite.

His ferocity in attacking the backfield will help in the run and the pass defense. My question watching his highlights is do teams run to his side more because of it?

I didn’t see that necessarily. He was actually quick to crash down on zone read plays to get on tackles. Very aggressive. Will need to tone it down against some of the running qbs we see next season
