I think you're right, but it wasnt because of Golding. It eas because Ole Miss offered him an NIL deal he couldnt pass up.
It's no secret Ole Miss was throwing around huge NIL to land a number of their guys from the portal.

I think we have finally addressed our recruiting issues with the new staff. Difficult to ignore just how pathetic our defensive staff was in the first two seasons. We are currently playing 10+ freshmen and have the best class on paper we've ever had on the way.
Sucks it took this long to piece it together but we are managing. Would really like Hankton to get more skins on the wall on the trail.
