I regret that I have but one down vote to give.

They go by Lanes model that he established there. I’m not surprised that they did well at all. He taught them how to do it.

Same reason as everyone else that did well-$$$$
Don’t kid yourself and think the main reason we did well was b/c of Kiffin.

Why? Because you don't like hearing the truth? I guess you're one of those people who still think SEC is the conference that dominates right now huh? It has actually been abysmal especially in the playoffs. Of all programs Washington and Indiana were in the NC. Ole Miss was just 1 game away from the NC and actually a few plays away. Sure, Lane is a big contribution to that but more the point is ANYONE can win it right now. Spending more just ups your odds a little.

How far did they go in the playoffs?

Their highest rated player is Carius Curne.
They be dogcrap next year

They had to raise money to match Lane’s contract offers.

So coaching doesn’t matter?
Texas Tech got blown out by Oregon.
Spending helps, but I still think coaching matters.

Lane
And his staff are a big reason they were good. Especially this year after spending less! They weren’t even suppose to challenge for anything after they lost some of their more expensive players.

Indiana’s coach is clearly a beast.

Exactly.
I can’t stand when posters believe their opinion as fact. Such as him saying, “Because you don't like hearing the truth?”
This is almost an automatic wrong take.
Just because something is their truth does not make it the truth.

Its his opinion sure, but can you point out the untruth?
Everyone is spending money. Some succeed, some fail but the odds are higher if you're spending than if you're not. Indiana is the outlier. Of the programs that have made the 2 12 team playoff fields, other than Indiana(2) and ASU and the group of 4 schools, which ones arent known to be big spenders?
As for the SEC dominance, since the playing field has been "leveled" what has the SEC won? Big Ten 3 years running. Michigan spends but not like OSU. OSU proudly proclaimed their title winning squad the best team money can buy. Indiana has had a great 2 year run and spending has increased(Mark Cuban anyone?). Meanwhile, the big spenders of the SEC off-season last year, Texas and LSU, sat at home and watched. What have both schools done since, increased spending. Its no guarantee but the thought is, you're odds increase if you spend more. Again I ask, point out the untruth in his comments.
Seems as though you have an opinion you feel is "right" as well. I suppose we'll have to guess what that opinion is since instead of offering your own, you chose to criticize his. Mirrors are great for hypocrites. Go take a gander. Maybe then we can get your opinion and have folks criticize it because they disagree while offering no contrasting one for us to dissect and dismiss like you so kindly have done.
Before the fanbase crys "LSU had to change coaches and rebuild the program". True. The cost of that, somewhere north of $150 million. We damn sure hope it increases our chances of winning. In fact, its a demand .

Why did Ole Miss do well in the portal?
Boosters throwing extra money ease the embarrassment of that HC they hired.

Talented. If they spend enough money they can be talented. Doesn't always make them a good team.

If being the self-declared, banner-waving 2003 SEC champs and a CFP semi finalist didn’t land top tier talent, the NIL money probably helped bridge the gap.

I didin't realize Walker Coward went back to Ole miss
