Who was more hyped, Fournette or Shep?

Try to remove the home-state pride part of it if you can.
Assuming LF is a tiger, who will have arrived on campus with the higher expectations?

People on this board were hyping up LF when he was in middle school so him.

LF is being talked about as the best player in a decade. He has zero flaws.
Shep was the #1 dual threat QB with awesome highlights, but was not the best player in the country that year or being talked about as clear and away the best.
Its really not that close. People on this board might think its close, but nationally, no way.
LF is unreal. Truly makes you say "WTF".

Easily Fournette. We weren't hearing about Shep as a freshman.

LF is hands down the best player in the country. Barkley was a better QB than Shep. Shep just came after the 08 and 09 season when LSU was begging for a half decent QB. LF fits our scheme perfect and is a freaking stud.

Was RS known nationally when he was a FR? I don't think so but I could be wrong.
Not to knock RS more than he already has been, but RS was hyped as a QB. I saw a HS QB competition RS participated in and threw the ugliest thing I had ever seen when trying to throw the ball as far as he could. Wasn't a good sign. I like RS and hope he finds a NFL spot.
LF plays an easier position than QB and is a sure thing stud. There won't be a let down. Glad it seems he will be a Tiger

Fournette, definitively. I'd say his expectations are on par with Clowney, Bryce Brown.

It really isn't hype for Fournette. He is a solid player who would be a tremendous asset to any team. Don't go off calling that hype, suggesting that it is just excitement without substance.

definitley Fournette in my opinion, ive been hearing about this kid since he was in junior high.
and i did not live in the area then, actually lived in Seattle

LF without question... and rightfully deserved

better question would be, Fournette or Moses? Although we still have a long ways to go with Moses.

LF but only because this is a LSU board and LF is from la. if they both would have been from la. then it would be a fair comparison. for ex. shep was way more hyped in tx than LF is in tx. LF for life man.

Fournette no doubt. He's been compared to Adrian Peterson here. Ya know...the best running back in the NFL. I don't remember any Shep comparisons to Peyton Manning.
