Hey, is Caleb Williams still at the top of LSU's recruiting board or is it Nussmeier now?

Personally, I'm hoping it is Nussmeier cause I don't like the way Williams looks on film.

I think Joe Burrow may have mended the gap between the Mannings and LSU. Say what you want about Coach O but I think we have a shot at Arch. Burrow was in contact with Peyton, Eli, and Archie and said he even prepped for games like the Manning.

Go watch his junior highlights and look at his pocket presence and his throwing motion, they are both extremely raw. Which accounts for his very paltry 56 percent completion rate. I mean he is a good athlete, I'll give him that, but he is not a good QB. It's going to take a lot of hard work to transform him into a polished QB and then it may be impossible.

Then go watch other prospects highlights like Garrett Nussmeier and Ty Thompson. Both of those QBs have far better pocket presence and throwing motions relative to Caleb Williams. Both those dudes are polished QBs relative to Williams and they are both far more accurate relative to Williams as well.

In fact, in my opinion, Williams is very overrated. Hell, go watch Brock Vandagriff's highlights and Drake Maye's highlights, both those QBs are also far more polished relative to Williams.

I don't know what the recruiting services are seeing in Williams other than he is a good athlete.

The LB from Alabama, Ian Jackson, looks solid. You can tell he’s really well coached.LINK /

Same.

Williams is an incredible athlete playing QB, but his QB skills are raw.

Go back and read the under armour 50 reviews. Williams was the best player there without his athleticism. The kid has special talent and is just touching the surface of what he could be. Rankings are projections. Williams is about how good he will/could be be. When you look at Nuss, excellent prospect in his own right and definitely worth of praise. Problem is that he's likely very close to his peak. That's the difference between the 2 prospects.

I'm sorry but it's kind of hard not to notice how raw Caleb Williams mechanics are on his over 13-minute junior season highlight video and it is also very hard for me to overlook his very low completion percentage rate of just 56 percent at the same time.

Not to mention that highlight video consists of about 75 percent of him running the ball and only about 25 percent of him throwing the ball, and when he does throw the ball, he just doesn't wow you with his throws.

Furthermore, if he tries to run the ball 75 percent of the time in college, it just won't work cause the athletes are far too damn good, and he would obviously stay hurt all of the time from all of the hits.

To me, it would seem that the dude would watch YouTube videos of other very good QBs and then try to emulate them and incorporate their style of play into his style of play, but very apparently he isn't doing that. As he is relying strictly on his athleticism. Which works fine in high school, but will never work in college.

In my opinion, he is extremely overrated, as there are a lot of much better QBs ranked below Williams in this recruiting class. I also think the reason he has become so enamored with Oklahoma as of late is that LSU has been backing off of him cause they are probably seeing the same things I'm seeing.

I would love to have Arch a Tiger. Following family to OM and TN only sets him up for comparison. He can make is own history some place new like LSU.

I agree. It's a new era. The days of old have been left behind. I hope he comes to LSU and gives all of Joe Burrows collegiate records a run for their money.

Oh he’s great and will be, but is never coming to LSU unless he’s the visiting team(Ole Miss). When his Dad got hurt, they upheld his scholarship until he graduated and he is definitely going there no matter how many visits he takes elsewhere.
