Searched couldn’t find.

What was up with the FB photos of McKinnley Jackson and his “commitment?”

Was that an old post? Just total BS?

He was going to the LSU game not committing. The post said "LSU Bound" as in we are going to Baton Rouge for the game today

I get the feeling that because he wants to wait until Feb, we won’t accept that and will go ahead and fill that spot unless something unforeseen happens on ESD.

Word through the grapevine is there are 3 silents right now. We can expect at least one more person "opening up their recruitment" soon.

Just my guess:

Evans
Webb
Dumervil

With a slight chance of Burch.

I agree with this. As noted above, I have no inside info. But reading all of the stuff out there, and hearing that there are three silents, I think you hit the nail on the head.

It sounds like Mama wants Burch to stay in South Carolina.

I just wanted to share a Clemson fan post I found

quote:

Who cares about the #1 class?? Do you want LSU's class?

quote:

I know it would be cool if we landed the #1 class, because we've never done it, but it really doesn't matter. I doubt anybody would take LSU's class over Clemson's. Go ask a Bayou Tiger and they'd even take our class.

Let's take a look at their class..

LINK /

Out of everybody in their entire class, there's only 2 current commits that we would probably want. Arik Gilbert and Elias Ricks. They beat everyone on Gilbert and Ricks.

Other than those 2, who else would we want?

We stopped recruiting Jarrett and Sampah. Roy isn't close to any of our 3 DT commits. Burton and Boutte are small WRs and will not be as good as Williams and Ajou (both 6'3"+ monsters). Clowney and Ojulari were never seriously recruited. Same could be said for basically all of their other commits.

If LSU were to land Zack Evans and Jordan Burch, then that would be 2 more players we would want. We turned down Phillip Webb. So that would be a total of 4 players in their 25-player class we would take.

The real key is looking at the positions at the top of each class... LSU's top ranked commits (if they land Burch and Evans) will be a raw stud DE, a stud RB, a stud TE, a stud CB, then a couple short WRs and so on...

Now look at our class... It starts with one of the best interior DLmen in the last decade. Then a better DE than Burch. Then the best QB since Trevor Lawrence. Then a equally as talented RB. A stud CB. Followed by a couple stud DTs and an OT.

So would you rather have all of their stud perimeter players or our absolutely loaded group of linemen and the best QB in the country?

On top of all of this.... LSU is going to return to be the LSU of the past that cannot throw the ball despite elite WR talent. Bookmark this. Go find and tell me who is going to throw the ball in their offense. They haven't landed an elite QB in many years and will have to rely on the transfer market to find a decent QB. They missed on all 6 of the top QBs they offered in this class and had to settle for a low 4* and a 3*.

Give me this #2 class all day over LSU's class
.
Of course Clemson didn’t want any of those guys

They did not “turn down Webb”.
They still want Sampah so bad they are shitting themselves.
And they have been in contact with Clowney and Ojulari.
