Dandy Don this mornings blog indicates he got emails from some Northshore supporters re Evans. They believe LSU is still the leader for Evans. FWIW

No. I'm not sure what to say about it though. The plan was to have him sign secretly on Wednesday, announces at the game and then enroll. It's now up in the air. But I don't think he can enroll and then sign. Maybe he can if he wants to pay for his spring tuition? That ain't happening.

The same way early enrollees have always worked. They sign scholarship papers in January in lieu of an LOI in February. You guys realize the early signing period has only been a thing for 3 years, right?

If this actually happened, it would just be ceremonial. As an early enrollee on scholarship, he's committed as soon as he attends class. A Feb signing would be meaningless. If he really waits until Feb, then he won't be an early enrollee.

The rumor on Evans was that he would sign on ESD but LSU would not announce it until he does at All American game which is before Spring semester. Nobody really knows what he plans now.
