Not meaning to sidetrack this thread, but has Chad Kelly enrolled at Ole Miss and what can someone give an update on his legal situation in Buffalo?

I also believe somehow Shea Patterson winds up signing with LSU.

Thanks most of you. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Is Sean really considering ole miss and why?
If he is a GA he has to finish grad school if he finishes why wouldn't we give him a spot on our staff?
Don't confuse the two... I do sometimes.

Shea is the high school QB recruit.
Sean is the older brother Grad Asst currently employed by LSU

Yes, it is possible they both end up at OM. Cam basically has to recruit both to keep one and get the other.

Why would anyone want to play for OM rather than LSU or be employee there?? Cam will seal this up!! One big season from BH will calm all. It's gonna happen!! I mean I understand going almost anywhere else besides OM lol just no

You should take that bet- not because I'm super confident Shea goes to LSU, but because USC is a serious option for him.

As someone who personally knows the Pattersons, I think Ole Miss is the leader. However, I don't think he goes to Ole Miss if Sean is at LSU. Look for Sean to get a promotion offer from Ole Miss. He's not a GA. His job title will not let him on the field during games, thus he's in the booth. He works long hours for little pay, so a promotion would be attractive. If Ole Miss were to offer him the QB coach, for example, then that's probably something LSU would not counter with. Remember, Shea didn't grow up in LA. He has no allegiance or loyalty to LSU, other than his brother. I know he wants to go where they can be together, if possible. Certainly, LSU is in the hunt, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

That's sobering, but is there any real reason to think that Ole Miss is willing to give him that kind of job or is this all just speculation?

I'd take the bet on the condition that if he doesn't choose either school, the bet is voided. I can see him going to USC.

I know that Sean wants to be a QB coach and wants to be Shea's QB coach if possible. I also know that somewhat of a bidding war is very possible. I also know that the Ole Miss boosters are doing what they can to make sure Shea goes there. That's straight from a boosters mouth. USC is high on his list too.

Hmmmm, well that sounds shady. For now, I will go with the home team on this one. The one who already has the brother on staff. That's got to count for something.

So OM is willing to offer a guy, with little to no experience, the position of QB coach just to land his brother? That's just a bad business decision all the way around.

Straight out of the Houston Nutt coaching manual. You think they would have learned their lesson on that one. (Although Gus turned out to be a WAY better catch on that deal. Good thing Nutt never saw it.)

Yeah, I'm going to have to call bs on this one. You know the family, and you come on here to tell everyone that they said there is likely a bidding war, and that Ole Miss Boosters are essentially willing to do whatever it takes. Some kind of friend of the family you are....again, calling bs.

So we won't calm down until after the 2017 season?
