I thought he was one of the top linebackers in the country. Did he turn out to be a bust? Haven’t seen him in couple of years.

No. He was a the #44 ranked LB in his class and barely a 4 star. I think everyone assumed he was going to be a stud because of his brother but he hasnt seen the field yet. I expect him to transfer after this season. He has been a great ambassador for LSU though so much respect to him.

He just signed with lsu last year. Give him some time.

While this maybe holds true with a sure or 2, I think you’re downplaying his prospects a bit.
To answer the question, always be wary of the kids who mature first & early.
Honestly; he should consider exploring a role on offense as an hback type like Zach Grace. I thought he was a better player on offense than defense.

With Whit hurt for over a month and Ross also out at this point and him basically not playing at all on defense this season, I think the writing is on the wall for him in year 2 here.
If you cant get on the field at all in year 2 especially when there's multiple injuries at your position, more times than not it's likely you're just not gunna make it. Especially when talking positions that do rotate some throughout a game.
In the McNeese game they played Jake Ibieta the walk on over him.
