What is latest on WBB Serah Williams?

I realize she was at UCONN this past weekend. We are for sure top 10 now but with her top 4. Anyone know where we stand and when she will decide?

You, the coaching staff, and every LSU WBB fan want to know. Per Jacques Doucet last Friday afternoon:
"From what I've been told, as of 4/25/24, 3:15 pm, @LSUwbkb doesn't really have a feel on what direction Serah Williams is heading yet. Williams is set to visit reigning national champion UCONN early next week. Certainly Williams would be very nice icing on the cake for LSU."

Where are you seeing that report? By all accounts that I have read, the visit is expected to come sometime this week, but even UConn fans are still asking when.

Everyone is saying it's down to only two: LSU or UConn.
Despite the visit to NC, there is no recent buzz whatsoever re: Serah & the Tar Heels.
Edit: Sorry, misread this as "LSU in the top 10 race to get Serah, but now is in the top 4". Now, I see you were talking Serah's impact on ranking.

Couple of Uconn inside reporters and fans on their message boards acting like they already got Williams. Don't know if it's accurate or just wishful thinking/arrogance.

Thats interesting. Yesterday she posted on instagram a picture of her wearing Tiger print. If she was already on a visit to Uconn, Im guessing she is trolling people to keep the suspense up and will be going to Uconn.

She has not committed yet, UCONN is the gold standard, but does she want to play 3 years as a #2 (at best) to Strong? Time will tell, also Geno done in one year..KM likely has a few more in her.

I agree with most of what youre saying but Serah only has 1 year of eligibility left.

Whether we get her or not, I wish we would sign the girl from St. Joseph's. That would give us 4 outside shooters on the floor and should open up the paint ( think how that would have helped Morrow) for our big people. I think her name is Ziegler.

I recently watched one of Flau'jae's podcasts and that week (7 months ago), her guest was Mikaylah Williams. One of Flau'jae's questions to MK was, "What players from another school would you say you are closest to?"
Mikaylah named Serah Williams.
If Mikaylah being BFFs, Flau'jae specifically flying back into town for Serah's visit, LSU rolling out the red carpet: wine-&-dining her, NIL offer, playing time/position-of-need pitch, etc...if none of that sold Serah on LSU, then it just wasn't meant to be.

Agree with everything you're saying, seems logical. Just repeating what Uconn people have been saying. She is a better fit at LSU for position of need. Uconn has Strong and another big, doesn't make sense for her to go there.

Are there other "bigs" that would at least be suitable (or serviceable) if Serah ends up at UConn?
Right now, LSU only has 3 players on the roster above 6-1:
~Amiya Joyner (ECU) 6’-2”
~Kate Koval (ND) 6’-5”
~Grace Knox 6'-2 (freshman)
My guess is that all them will have positive contributions to make. But 1-2 quality power forwards and/or a center and we could talk about a legit contender.

If she chooses UConn, I would think they would like to add one more 6’4 or 6’5 big but idk what else is out there .

Off the top of my head, if you just want another tall body, there's 6-5 Sakima Walker (also from SC) still out there. She almost mirrors Wolfenbarger's (weak) finesse game. However, she was publicly cheering Fulwiley for choosing LSU which pissed off some SC fans and made me smile.

No, all the "good quality" bigs 6'4" and taller have been taken. There are still some Forwards available in the portal 6'1" and taller. I would think other top teams looking also.
