Not sure you’re relationship with/to the LSU program but it appears you’re well connected so we appreciate the organization of this transfer portal madness. Thanks for taking the time and sharing with the masses
Happy to help. Can’t wait to roll up all of this excitement into our first Lane Kiffin home game against Clemson.

Let's see what he can do with real coaching.

Weston has a lot of talent with the right coaching he can be a very good tackle.

I'll be blunt with this one: He was the worst OL but you can tell he was put in way before he should. I have no problem with this as long as they find someone to compete in his spot. As bad as Davis was he still has potential.
He does have 3 years of eligibility left, so there’s time for him to develop, even if it means a move to OG. It would be nice to compare the development of OL from last season to next season with the new coaching staff. We’re going to need to keep some of these guys to fill out the depth chart.

He could never be a guard. He will either become a good tackle or a serviceable backup. He has talent and length to be a good tackle with the right coaching but he could not be a guard.

Exactly. Dude is a prototypical tackle. I’ve been saying for weeks that I hope he returns and takes the year that he had personal. I think this is a match made in heaven for Cregg.

I met his grandpa walking to the car after the Vanderbilt game in 2024. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Hope it works out for Weston.

Agreed. He’s built perfectly for the tackle position. He made some good plays this year as well. A refreshed approach to coaching could do him a LOT of good.

New coaches. All the lineman should get a clean slate if they want to return.
Experienced depth at a minimum.

Now I can tell you who’s not getting NIL money

Maybe he can live up to the 5-star billing with a real OL coach

Every OL issue this season was due to coaching. And I’m not a blame the coaches guy, I typically place blame on players not executing. But I watched every one of Richard Dickson’s breakdowns this season and it was literally the same problems every week- bad steps, bad head/hand placement, bad recognition. It never got better, that’s coaching.

They see the frame and the possibilities. Next year will be Davis’s 4th year in college as well. If he goes somewhere and it doesn’t go his way he would only have 1 year left.
