10th TD catch of the year. 12th total TD on the year. Wow, not bad for the LA true freshman who's really small.

?????

They are playing ball state, not really a powerhouse.

Also, not to say he isn't good, but he is in the perfect system for his skill set, which allows him to excel and excel early. He would not be contributing in the same way as early had LSU signed him.

6 catches for 135 yards and a TD thus far.

EDIT: just had a long rush - 3 car for 76 yards

You could see this coming...Johnson was the most exciting player in every video he was ever in, whether they were his highlights or someone else. Going to a smaller school it was almost assured he'd rip them a new hole. Could he do it in the SEC? Who knows..that's why no one took a chance on him, but it's not surprising he's tearing D1 up like he tore up high school.

it turns my stomach that Miles never gave this guy a look in the same year that he offered Rocky Duplesis early

I know you're the president of the Rockey Duplessis club, but I think Johnson was a victim of the numbers. Plus, maybe Miles was looking down the road at the WR's they had on the board for next year.

Well, obviously he wouldn't be a pure WR. I sure dont see a glut of future KR and PRs on the roster. Your boy Meyer wouldn't have let him out his backyard.

I don't know anything about the kid, but I do know that Myer isn't limited to just his back yard for recruiting. Did Myer offer Johnson? Saban? Any other SEC coach?

Meyer already got James, Demps, Rainey out of his own backyard. Do they even recruit LA? But, yeah, Rocky D > this kid. FEAR DA HAT

if there are x number of scholarships for x position on x side of the ball, why are you even comparing the two?

completely different receivers in terms of what they can do. If they needed a slot WR, you go after Johnson, but apparently that wasn't the case. Molton is one of your tall, big WR's that play the outside.

Anyone who doesn't think Damaris Johnson could of made a great replacement for Trindon Holliday is crazy.

how many big tall outside WRs do we have? You cant play 7 of them at once, i'm fairly sure of that.
