What's this about? I know Gilbert hasn't officially entered the portal, and then Tennessee of all places? Just clicks or does anybody actually know something about this?

Supposedly his former HS QB is there. Otherwise, no idea why...

It's whatever at this point.

LSU has enough talent to win with or without Gilbert. We need guys that want to be at LSU and want to play for LSU.

I'm not reading the tweet but Gilbert's QB at Marietta, Bailey, is the QB at UT. Not a reach to believe he could end up at UT. LSU has 3 Qb's better than Bailey, but UT is a lot closer to ATL than Baton Rouge.

Maybe Gilbert doesn't want to share targets like he does at LSU. He could go to Tennessee and play with a QB he's familiar with and get a guaranteed 10 targets a game and be the number one guy week in and week out.

Honestly, that's not a bad proposition for him. He'll never win the SEC at Tennessee but he could certainly be a Kyle Pitts type of player and potentially dominate statistically. Not saying he couldn't dominate at LSU but perhaps he just wants to be the focal point of an offense instead of just another guy.

I seem to remember at some point during the season Gilbert didn't think he was involved enough in the offense, if I'm wrong about that please correct me. But that's why I'm thinking that maybe he wants to go somewhere and be a true number one target, because he felt like he wasn't being utilized enough at LSU.

Honestly I would much rather him go to Tennessee instead of Bama.

He will be the first Tennessee receiver to get 10 targets a game for an entire year in 20 years. I get the HS QB went to TN, but to think he is def going to be throwing to Gilbert for the next two years or that he will get any targets a game is a real stretch considering the shape of their program.

He won’t have near as many weapons at UT to keep him from getting double teamed. Coaches can scheme to take him out the game and he won’t get near the targets he thinks he would

I’m not even worried about him at this point. Does BJ stay? That’s what’s I care about.

Harrison Bailey was his QB at Marrietta and the the cornerstone of Tennessee class. They are friends. That's the connection if I had to guess. I hope he comes back.
