Yeah, she's a lefty. Has the look of baller but she's just not good IMO.

They're nothing alike. Petty's an off the bench post with some athleticism and rebounding upside. Definitely not irreplaceable but longterm she could be a contributor at UK.

I remember when 6’4” WBB plyers were rare, then weren’t, and now we need big/tall/fast runners. Unlike our current moose chick who has 2/3.

I thought Kim could possibly turn Petty into another NaLyssa Smith. Now Sa’Myah Smith is a upgrade over Petty

Petty isn’t anywhere near that type of talent. She is athletic and can rebound but outside of that isn’t near the same level. Can she develop into a nice college player? Perhaps but she was here for 2 years and never played much
SaMyah has a chance to be special. She was a top 20 recruit before the knee injuries but 6’4 with the athletic abilities is not a combination that grows on trees

Yes and it is believed that coach Mulkey hosted her with Kateri Poole over the weekend.. and Mulkey already visited with her in Maryland.

I have a lot of confidence in Coach Mulkey’s “big picture” vision and her ability as a recruiting strategist.
It’s like playing chess and looking ahead. I don’t think Kim would have taken the chance of losing Martinez if she wasn’t already certain she had reeled in Reese.

Martinez is a terrific player but she clearly is a head case somewhat jumping around multiple schools.
She has committed, signed and backed out of multiple schools already. She did the exact same thing a few years ago signing with Texas, then a month later ended up heading to another school after getting released from miss st before that.
But at the same time she probably didn't like LSU entertained Reese and they both play the same position. Sure they probably could have figured out a lineup with both in it but Reese isn't sitting on the bench for any team in America, she is that good.
